Joseph Parker has his say on Fury
Joshua Oluwaseun and Mark Chamberlain are next. ‘The Wealth Machine’ comes in at 132.1, 134.2 for Chamberlain.
Neither man wants to look away from there!
Tyson is unpredictable. You don’t know what he’s going to say or do and you don’t know what you’re going to get. But he’s quietly confident, once you’ve done the work you don’t need to talk much.
Those are Joseph Parker’s words about Fury’s actions yesterday.
Moses Itauma steps on the scale
Seitz weighs 198.5 pounds. 198.1, Nika. A handshake before their confrontation. After too.
Ilya Mezencev and the highly rated Moses Itauma are next.
Itauma is only 19 and is actually about 15 minutes away from me.
232.1 for Mezencev, 239.1 for Itauma.
Carl Frampton just called him the future of heavyweight boxing. Tomorrow’s fight is for the vacant WBO Intercontinental heavyweight title.
Klitschko in the house
173.7 for Daniel Lapin, 174.7 for Octavio Pudivitir. It’s a heavyweight fight and Lunin has a big height advantage. They hug each other, a little differently than last time.
Michael Seitz and David Nika are next.
Watching on is Wladimir Klitschko, a former opponent of Fury, of course.
Push involved in the first weighing
£127.7 for Ahmadi. £125.5 for Lowe’s.
These fighters actually weighed in before. Actually, this is just a ceremonial thing.
Lowe has worked closely with Fury.
The two go nose-to-nose in the face-off, with Lowe pushing his opponent away.
The weigh-in is underway
All right then! Here we go. Thomas Treiber takes the stage to introduce the event.
The pleasantries come first. Thanks to the Saudis, promoting the promoters and the channels that will show the fight.
The fans present are already singing. I’m not sure what.
Featherweights first. Hasibullah Ahamadi and the English Isaac Lowe. Lowe’s is a big favorite.
The last time they face each other
Tyson Fury has reminded us that it has been 24 years since the last undisputed champion. That was Lennox Lewis.
This will be the first time the two fighters will face each other before they meet in the ring tomorrow.
I don’t care if he’s looking at him. I’m not someone who thinks fights are won at the press conference.
Carl Frampton’s words on TNT Sports.
Waiting for the fighters
Sky has just shown a replay of Muhammad Ali vs Oscar Bonavena on MSG from 1970 before the weigh-in begins. I enjoyed that.
At that point, ding ding ding and all that. We can leave any moment.
Five more minutes
At that point I could share links with you all day long, but we have to watch the weigh-in and it’s now in five minutes.
It’s worth checking our site for the latest coverage. There is plenty there and it will continue to be that way tomorrow and beyond, with reporters in Saudi Arabia too.
The fighters will be with us soon. We’ll see what awaits us.
Below is a video of what happened yesterday to refresh your memory…
A number of boxing stars past and present had their say this weekend, and I wanted to share an exclusive message from Evander Holyfield with you.
Granted, most boxers have become Fury. Height and reach speak volumes. But not Holyfield.
He told Charlotte Daly that it is in fact Usyk who has the advantage, and explained why. He went on to say that Fury can only win one way…
You know the drill, click below to read more!
We were invited to Usyk’s camp a while ago to see his brutal training regimen.
He said boxing was not his first calling. About his last conversation with his deceased father, a bomb that went off near his daughter’s school.
He has quite a story. There’s still so much going on outside of boxing, in his home country, where he doesn’t know if his family is still alive when he wakes up in the morning.
If you read one thing today, it should be this.
It has to be up there, right?
If Fury and Usyk fight this weekend, it will be for the undisputed. Someone’s 0 has to go, and all that.
The build up wasn’t great, but these two are undoubtedly the best out there. It’s really hard to split them.
Our own Jeff Powell has ranked his best heavyweight fights of all time, amid the debate over where this could land. It’s worth it for Mail Plus subscribers.
What is Fury’s lightest?
Against Ngannou, Fury weighed 277.7 pounds, or 126 kg, or 19st 8 pounds.
He’s expected to come in tonight in possibly his brightest spot yet. At least that’s according to John Fury, and we know he’s not someone who tries to grab attention…
That’s up from 245.5 pounds in 2012 for his win over Vinny Maddalone. I’m not sure if he’ll be lighter, maybe somewhere closer to what he was when he beat Wilder, which was 273 and then 277 pounds. Maybe a little less.
I mentioned yesterday’s press conference where Fury refused to look at his opponent during the face-off. It made for an awkward exchange with Usyk doing the usual mutual stuff, but Fury just posed.
He stopped calling the Ukrainian an ugly rabbit and ignored him completely. But why?
He then revealed the reason why, and it was because Usyk apparently “looked scary.”
I’m just here now to relax and wait until I get in the ring on Saturday night.
His words after the face-off, if you can call it that.
In terms of actual weights, we expect Fury to come in lighter than ever before. He has shown his impressive transformation in recent days and seems to take Usyk a lot more seriously than Francis Ngannou.
Usyk – a former cruiserweight, remember – is a bit more stocky at the moment. He has a disadvantage in terms of height and reach, but hopes to use his boxing brains to achieve victory.

Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk – The weigh-in
Hello everyone and welcome to Mail Sport’s live coverage of tonight’s weigh-in ahead of Fury vs Usyk.
It’s quite a big one. The heavyweight pair were criticized for a lack of action during yesterday’s press conference, so we’ll see what we get tonight. Hopefully a little more than Fury refusing to look at his opponent.
The two fighters are set to hit the scales around 6pm UK time, so stick around for an hour or so for a full build-up.
