Chloe Fineman was the latest celebrity to hit out at criticism from online trolls, but she was very polite about it.

The 35-year-old actress wore a sparkling strapless red Celine dress on the red carpet on Thursday while promoting her film Megalopolis at the Cannes Film Festival.

The glamorous gown was gathered at the bust with a cutout underneath. The Saturday Night Live star is adorned with a beautiful diamond Cartier necklace.

But haters trolled her body, saying it looked disproportionate.

The star hit back with a very quick comment.

An Instagram page called Check the Tag posted the look to its account and shared details of the ensemble.

‘These photos are weird. Her head looks too big for her body or something,” one follower wrote.

“Very strange proportions here,” wrote another.

The funny lady was clearly pleased with her appearance and shared several snaps of her Instagram stories.

‘You don’t have to be so mean! Thank you ,” the polite actress wrote in response to the criticism.

Several fans defended her with one text: ‘Yes. These comments are not. She looks beautiful!!!

“Imagine feeling beautiful and confident when you walk out the door and see horrible things said about your appearance online.”

‘I think the photographer did her really dirty here. There are photos from a different angle and she looks beautiful in this dress,” another suggested.

Fineman wrote about her experiences in Cannes in an essay for Elle.

After choosing the “vintage” Cartier necklace, the Babylon actress revealed, “My stylist and good friend Yael Quint asks what year this is from and they reply, ‘2004.’

“So, ELLE, the year I lost my virginity is now considered vintage. LOL.’

She said: ‘We are trying on the necklace with the most beautiful Celine couture dress in existence. It fits like a glove and couldn’t be more glamorous.

“With the diamonds, this is the best I’ve ever seen.”

The Excessive star also shared a sweet memory from her childhood, revealing that her father once took her to the same location where she picked out the dress and jewelry.

‘We get to the hotel and I get total deja vu. Black and white photos of Ryan Gosling, Diane Kruger and all the other beautiful movie stars flank the walls and I realize that my father showed me this hotel when I was a child,” she explained.

‘To reveal my profound side, my father is a big believer in dreaming big and we made a bee-line to Cannes when I was 10 years old so he could ‘plant the seed’ of this magical dream of becoming an actor and making films to make.’
