inside Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall’s $30m Westfield-style mega-mansion as couple add a bowling alley – after plans for the home sent neighbours into an uproar

Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall shared a sneak peek of their nearly completed luxury mega-mansion in Whale Beach on Thursday.

The couple have caused a stir among their local community in recent years with their extravagant plans for the $30 million Westfield-style home and its construction.

Wall’s construction company J Group Projects posted images on Instagram Stories showing the property’s lavish exterior and early stages of a bowling alley.

They also shared a photo of the exterior of the three-story Hamptons-style home, which features a beautiful outdoor space with a large pool and what appears to be a huge addition.

Another photo from inside the property showed a concrete alley lined with brick and a stone wall.

Jennifer, 40, and her husband Jake, 41, were given the green light to build their massive home last year, breaking ground in the wealthy suburb of Whale Beach, which is 40 kilometers north of Sydney’s CBD.

Aerial footage obtained by Ny Breaking Australia in August last year showed a construction site set up on the huge plot of land.

However, the multi-million dollar home has sparked controversy among some residents of the wealthy community, who are unhappy with the power couple’s plans and have filed a complaint with the city council, New Idea reported last September.

The construction company overseeing the build, J Group Projects, shared an image to their Instagram Stories, showing the property's lavish exterior and early stages of bowling alley design.

“A proposed spa would exacerbate the already offensive ocean scarring at the outdoor lounge,” a neighbor told the Northern Beaches Council.

“This is a step too far and enough is enough,” the frustrated local added.

The former Miss Universe and her property developer husband have since withdrawn their plans for the spa, but are still pushing ahead with the development of a gym, basketball court, swimming pool and bowling alley.

Local homeowners also claimed that the mansion’s extravagant development has made it more difficult to both rent and sell their neighboring properties.

“It has taken its toll on the tenants who have now left. People don’t want to buy and their biggest objections are the construction zone,” said one upset landlord.

Once completed, Jennifer and Jake will move into the mansion together, which will be approximately four times the size of the neighboring properties.

The couple was together for eight years before tying the knot in a ceremony in Bali in June 2013. They share two children, daughter Frankie and son Hendrix.
