Olivia Rodrigo fans have queued for as many as twelve hours to get their hands on tickets for her highly anticipated Australian Guts 2024 tour.
The American pop star, 21, will take to the stage for eight shows in Melbourne and Sydney in October, and concertgoers frantically tried to get their tickets on Thursday.
General sales started at 1pm AEST and after warnings that pre-sales on Ticketek were ‘chaos’, some scrambled to secure their seats.
A megafan revealed on TikTok on Thursday that they had queued for 12 hours at Sydney’s Ticketek box office to score their tickets.
Fan Ella shared a video reportedly showing the huge group of determined concertgoers queuing in person, rather than queuing online, ahead of the general sellout.

Ella claimed she woke up at 12.45am to go to the Ticketek office at Penrith Panthers Leagues Club to queue for tickets after a 12-hour wait.
She claimed the first person in line was at 11pm on Wednesday, with a very long wait until the tickets finally went on general sale at 1pm on Thursday.
Ella later shared an update in the comments where she excitedly confirmed she had tickets, but said many people in line were disappointed not to have gotten one.
Ahead of the general sell-out, Olivia added more dates to her Guts tour Down Under amid skyrocketing demand for tickets.

The Deja Vu hitmaker was originally scheduled to take the stage at just four shows in the two cities, but added an additional four dates to her tour schedule.
She originally announced she would be performing at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 9 and 10, but has now added October 13 and 14.
Olivia will also take the stage at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on October 21 and 22, as well as the originally scheduled shows on October 17 and 18.
Within hours of the start of the general sale, all of Olivia’s Australian shows completely sold out as they proved to be extremely popular with fans.

Due to the very high demand for the shows, fans could only purchase four tickets each.
Tickets to her show were believed to range in price from approximately $75 to $400, depending on seating and packaging options.
VIP packages and experiences were also available for fans looking to take their concert experience to the next level.
Many fans compared the hectic ticketing process to that of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, with famous Australian fans rushing to get tickets for the popular performances.
The more expensive GA Pit Experience tickets offer early access to the venue, a photo opportunity in front of the VIP backdrop, and pre-show merchandise purchase for the general public.
A limited number of $20 Silver Star tickets were also made available, with Olivia saying she wanted to make it as affordable as possible for her fans.
Olivia will be joined on the Australian leg by talented New Zealand singer-songwriter Benee, who will open all four shows.
The tour supports Rodrigo’s second critically acclaimed studio album Guts, which earned her six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
