It turns out that being vice president has some perks.

Vice President Kamala Harris received two tickets to a Beyonce concert worth $1,655.92, according to her financial disclosure report.

The cards were listed as a gift from Beyonce.

Harris also received tickets to the HBCU Football Championship football game in Atlanta to watch her alma mater Howard University compete against the Florida A&M University football team.

The football tickets for Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff were worth $1,890, listed as a gift from ESPN. Despite Harris’ enthusiastic support for her team, Florida A&M defeated Howard 30-26.

The free tickets were disclosed in Harris’ 2023 White House financial report.

“To the one of one, the number one, the only one, Beyonce, thank you for a fun date night,” she wrote, posting a photo of herself wearing a sparkly gold sequined shirt.

Harris has long been a fan of Beyoncé, but she and the famous singer have never been seen together publicly. Beyoncé has a lot warmer relationship with former First Lady Michelle Obama.

But that hasn’t stopped the vice president from professing her love for Beyoncé’s music.

The vice president was excited about Beyonce’s new country music album “Cowboy Carter,” which was released in March.

“I love that she’s doing it, like again, how amazing is that to really fully own you and dive into your range, right? And to never feel like you should be limited to other people’s perspectives on what you want, and instead just go for it. I think that’s great,” Harris said during a podcast interview in April.

Harris also praised Beyoncé’s country album on social media.

“Thank you for reminding us that we should never feel limited to other people’s perspectives on what our jobs are,” Harris wrote. “You’ve redefined a genre and rediscovered the black roots of country music. Your music continues to inspire us all.”

In 2023, Harris said her favorite Beyonce song was “Break my Soul.”

“I just love that song,” she countered People magazine. ‘I play it all the time. I think it’s one of the anthems for women. . . when [Beyoncé says] ‘you’, you could be life, you could be a person, you could be a situation. You won’t break my soul. I can bear it.’

Harris has used Beyonce to highlight the highs and lows of her political career, including her own failed presidency in 2019.

After announcing her decision to end her campaign, she celebrated by dancing with her campaign staff to Beyoncé’s version of “Before I Let Go.”
