Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes learn their road to an historic NFL three-peat for Kansas City Chiefs as 2024 schedule drops
The path to the three-peat is set for the Kansas City Chiefs, as their NFL schedule was completely dropped on Wednesday night.
After winning a second straight Super Bowl in February, Andy Reid is now planning the team’s bid to enter the history books as champions for the third straight season.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes already knew they had a blockbuster curtain-raiser to start the season when they hosted the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on September 5, followed by another home game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.
Kirk Cousins and the Falcons welcome the Chiefs to Atlanta in Week 3 for Sunday Night Football and it’s a second straight game in Week 4 with the team playing the Los Angeles Chargers in California.
Kelce has his older brother Jason analyze his play in Week 5, when the New Orleans Saints arrive in Arrowhead for Monday Night Football. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Jason has joined ESPN’s coverage during the NFL season.

Patrick Mahomes is trying to give Kansas City a third straight Super Bowl title
Week six marks a bye week – the earliest the Chiefs have had in the Mahomes era.
And it gives the team time to freshen up before their Super Bowl rematch against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7 in California. Tom Brady will be there for that in his new role as FOX Sports analyst.
The Chiefs beat the 49ers by three points in February’s showpiece with Mecole Hardman’s overtime touchdown in Las Vegas.
In the immediate aftermath of the glory that February night, Kelce underlined his goal of three in a row.
“Well, you know the goal has always been to get three,” Kelce shouted at the podium. “But we couldn’t get here without getting those two, and having that target on our backs all year. How about that? We get a chance to do it three times in a row.”
Week 8 brings a trip to the Raiders and week 9 is another Monday Night Football game in Arrowhead, this time against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be a second game that Jason Kelce gets to play while his brother plays.
Week 10 features a matchup with the Denver Broncos, followed by another tantalizing showdown with the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.
A trip to Carolina to play the Panthers falls in Week 12 and is followed by a Black Friday game at home against the Raiders and then another showdown with the Chargers.
Kelce and coach Andy Reid are now gearing up for an attempt at NFL history this season
Kelce returns to Cleveland for Week 15 to play the Browns. The Chiefs then round out the season against the Houston Texans, the Steelers on Christmas Day and the Broncos.
From then on it’s the play-offs, where it would be nothing but the ultimate surprise if the Chiefs weren’t involved.
The Chiefs will also play three preseason games against the Jacksonville Jaguars (Aug. 10), Detroit Lions (Aug. 17) and Chicago Bears (Aug. 22).
