Best-selling confectionery item is back at Woolworths two years after being axed ‘for good’: ‘Run, don’t walk!’

A cult favorite confection that disappeared from shelves two years ago has been quietly relaunched at Woolworths.

Starburst Fruit Chews were discontinued in June 2022, leaving sweet-toothed Aussies to mourn the loss of the popular treat.

Mars Wrigley, manufacturer of Starburst, said at the time that after considering all options it had to make the “difficult decision” to discontinue the brand, leaving shoppers utterly disappointed.

But now fans have spotted the treats back on shelves and have been quick to share the news on social media.

However, a Woolworths spokesperson told FEMAIL that the popular purchase will only be available for a limited time for $5.
