Caroline Wozniacki sent a message to Brooks Koepka’s wife after Rory McIlroy’s divorce from Erica Stoll became public this week.
McIlroy filed the divorce papers shortly before the PGA Championship, with court documents showing he filed a “petition for dissolution of marriage” on Monday.
The former couple met in 2012, when Stoll had worked for the PGA of America at the Ryder Cup, and started dating in 2015. They subsequently married in 2017.
They have one child together, Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, born in 2020.
Koepka took to social media to express his admiration for his wife Jena Sims just as news of McIlroy’s shock split broke – and Wozniacki left a response.

Caroline Wozniacki and McIlroy announced their engagement in 2013 but later split
Wozniacki and McIlroy started dating in 2011 and announced their engagement in 2013. Despite making wedding plans just months after an expected ceremony, McIlroy ended their relationship over a minutes-long phone call.
Koepka and Wozniacki are friends and the tennis star supported him during the Masters last year, accompanied by her husband, former NBA player David Lee. Wozniacki and Lee married in 2019 and have since welcomed two children.
Koepka wrote on Instagram, in honor of his wife’s debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue: “So proud of you. Great to see what hard work can do! I love you!’
Shortly after, Wozniacki wrote a comment that read “Hot mama” with fire emojis.
McIlroy’s divorce from Wozniacki came shortly after they sent out invitations to their wedding. McIlroy had insisted their split was mutual and amicable, but Wozniacki later revealed the relationship had ended over the phone.

McIlroy aims for equal parenting time with the daughter he shares with Stoll. The divorce papers describe their marriage as ‘irretrievably broken down’.
Sources have suggested that McIlroy’s decision to divorce his wife came out of the blue. He is said to have filed the papers a day after he was photographed wearing his wedding ring.
The 35-year-old was caught wearing the band on Sunday as he lifted the Wells Fargo Championship trophy, but filed for divorce just 24 hours later in Florida.
McIlroy is also following in the footsteps of fellow divorced golfer Tiger Woods by hiring celebrity attorney Thomas Sasser to file his divorce papers.
Sasser represented the all-time great Woods when his wife divorced him in 2010.
