I’ve never played baseball because we play cricket here in Britain. However, I’ve seen enough American movies and TV shows that I had the knowledge I needed to easily solve this edition of the NYT’s Strands puzzle.
The task was made easier by the fact that the word MOUND featured so prominently, and that, combined with the theme designation of American pastime, got me started. None of the other answers gave me any problems and I solved this Strands game super quickly. I doubt too many people will be bothered by it at all.
