Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes could be baseball’s answer to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift — and the LSU gymnast and TikTok star clearly doesn’t mind the comparisons.

Skenes made a strong first impression in his MLB debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday, striking out seven batters as his team defeated the Chicago Cubs 10-9.

Dunne cheered him on from the stands and shared some new photos of the couple celebrating his first match win on Sunday night.

“Good job Bucco,” she wrote in the caption.

The 21-year-old liked several comments under the photos, including one from a fan who said, “Loading Wag era, you’re a mini Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.”

MLB itself seems only happy to have Dunne, who has millions of followers on its social media channels, at games.

On TikTok, MLB shared a video of Dunne discussing her nerves watching Skenes play with the caption, “Livvy Dunne entering her MLB WAG era.”

Dunne is currently considering what comes next for her. She is a gymnast at LSU and has the option of returning to college for another year.

Skenes, meanwhile, appears at home in the MLB.

The pitcher, the top overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft, showed why he is widely regarded as perhaps the best pitching prospect in a generation.

He was greeted with a standing ovation by most of the Pittsburgh crowd, including his girlfriend, and reached 100 mph on 17 of his 84 pitches.

In the third inning, the LSU gymnast – decked out in a custom Skenes jacket – was interviewed live on air by Sportsnet Pittsburgh, and she was full of admiration for her other half.

“There were some nerves at first, but I turned them into excitement rather than nerves, and I just have the most confidence in him ever,” she began. “I just trust him and what he puts into it, and I’m just so excited.

“It’s great, the support here is great. Pittsburgh was so welcoming. All I see are people wearing Air Force stuff, LSU stuff, Skenes jerseys.”

On the occasion of Skenes getting the call to join the Pirates in the majors, Dunne added: “All I can say is I think that’s the fastest I’ve ever caught in my life.

“We woke up from a nap, he had a few missed calls and he got a call. He said “let’s pack” and off we went. It was very exciting!

“I have so many great memories with him, but I know how hard he worked for this moment. This is probably one of my favorite moments I’ve ever seen, seriously, nothing can top this. I’m just so proud!’

Dunne and Skenes made their relationship public last August.

If all goes well, Skenes will return to action for the Pirates on Thursday in a return game against the Cubs in Chicago.
