Bluey characters are spotted in the background of a new SIMPSONS episode – leaving some fans very confused

Characters from the beloved Australian children’s cartoon Bluey appeared as guests on The Simpsons.

Fans briefly saw Bluey, Bingo and Chilli in the ‘May the 12th be with you’ Mother’s Day episode on Disney Plus, where Marge joins the Disney moms and kids on an adventure across the galaxy.

The short film features a number of well-known characters, including Cinderella, Dumbo, Mulan, Moana, The Incredibles, Bambi and more.

However, the decision to include Bluey was questioned by some as the show was created by ABC.

Bluey and Bingo were seen in the Simpsons’ backyard, along with other characters enjoying an afternoon party.

YouTuber ‘Dave Lee Down Under’ took a closer look at the crossover episode to see every character and hidden reference – and admitted it was strange seeing Bluey in the short.

‘Very strange that they are here. They even appear a few times, including one next to the Dalmatians,” Dave said in one video.

Elsewhere on Facebook, other fans questioned whether the episode was legit or fan-made.

“Is this even an episode or a fan photo?” someone asked in a Facebook group.

But another confirmed that the short episode is a special on Disney Plus.

Aussies were amazed by the inclusion, with one person saying: “Bluey has officially made it when referenced on The Simpsons.”

‘The funniest thing is that they are all from Disney, except Bluey. So if The Simpsons was meant to play all Disney characters, then they failed,” said another.

The bizarre mashup also features characters from Star Wars and Family Guy.
