Yeo and Goodbody were first captured together in 2015, at the Eagles’ 2015 club championship awards.

The 30-year-old was revealed as one of two Eagles players, alongside Harley Reid, recently targeted by trolls on social media.

Coach Adam Simpson said assault rates have risen so high that “you have to get the police involved,” in a wake-up call for teams across the country.

Meanwhile, Fremantle star Jordan Clark closed his social media accounts after being subjected to abuse.

“There needs to be more protection for players with social media,” Clark said.

“Whether it’s racist, homophobic or just attacking someone, there needs to be more protection.”
