Former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil reveals heartbreaking reason she won’t be attending Australian Fashion Week
Former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil took to social media on Saturday to reveal the sad reason that she will not be attending Australian Fashion Week from Monday.
The stunner, 31, shared a photo of herself looking pained as she lay in a hospital bed and told fans she was still recovering after having her wisdom teeth removed.
Maria had a white bandage wrapped around her head as she stared sadly into the camera.
‘I’m not going to Australian Fashion Week. “I can’t feel my tongue, I’m trying to stay calm,” she told fans.
Luckily, Maria’s AFLW star friend Moana Hope, 36, was able to cheer her up by visiting her in hospital and posing next to her for a precious selfie.

Moana smiled in the adorable photo as she did her best to cheer up her sick friend.
Maria captioned the photo with some funny words: “Moana has a video of me immediately after surgery. I’m going to wait until I can get some popcorn to watch it.”
Australian Fashion Week will be held in Sydney from Monday 13th May to Friday 17th, and will see a host of glamorous A-List stars in attendance and strutting their stuff.

In March, Thattil revealed that while she is open about her new romance with Moana, there are some things she prefers to keep private to protect her growing relationship.
The stunning model is dating AFLW star Moana Hope and the pair have been to many red carpet events and seen cuddling on social media.
But she told me Stellar magazine that there is a limit to what she will share with the public.

“Something I’ve learned is the importance of protecting certain parts of your life and keeping something sacred,” she said.
“In this digital world we live in, strangers feel entitled to you; sometimes they can have parasocial relationships where they feel entitled to ask me things.
‘I always think to myself, these people would never walk up to you on the street and just ask you these things to your face. And I feel like I don’t want that unnecessary pressure,” she added.
The couple has been dating for several months after Hope split from her ex-wife, Isabella Carlstrom.
