Dak Prescott ‘will not face sexual assault charges as Dallas police are not pursuing the allegations due to lack of evidence’
Dallas police will not pursue sexual assault charges against Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, his accuser’s attorney has said.
Victoria Baleigh Shores accused Prescott of sexually assaulting her in the back of an SUV in 2017 after his rookie season in the NFL. It allegedly took place in the parking lot of the XTC Cabaret strip club in Dallas.
Prescott, who in response sued Shores over an alleged $100 million racketeering scheme, and his lawyers said the claims were false.
“We thank DPD for their efforts and this is in no way an acquittal of Mr. Prescott,” Shores’ attorney Yoel Zehaie said in a statement to FOX 4.
Dallas police have found no evidence to support Shores’ allegations and the district attorney’s office says there is no case, WFAA reports.

Meanwhile, Shores and her attorney filed a motion this week to dismiss Prescott’s countersuit against them.
Zehaie told WFAA that the motion was filed because “we believe” [Prescott’s filing] was intended to silence his sexual abuse victim” and “violates the Texas Anti Slapp Statute, which prohibits various forms of retaliation.”
However, Prescott’s attorney, Levi McCathern, responded, calling the motion “total nonsense.”
Prescott had preemptively sued Shores and both of her attorneys in March over an alleged $100 million racketeering scheme surrounding the sexual assault charges, which his attorney has characterized as “completely trumped up.”
In January, Prescott received a letter from attorneys Bethel and Yoel Zehaie on behalf of Shores, according to a lawsuit filed in Texas’ Collin County and provided to DailyMail.com by McCathern.
The letter alleged that Prescott sexually assaulted Shores in the back of an SUV on February 2, 2017 after the two met on Snapchat.
“At some point, Ms. Shores, along with the two members of your entourage, entered your black SUV-style vehicle,” read the letter to Prescott, which included his lawsuit against Shores. “You directed Mrs. Shores to the back row so you could all go there [redacted].
‘On the way to [redacted] you exposed your genitals. Mrs. Shores did not want to have intercourse and made sure to verbalize her wishes. The car then came to a stop at your destination. As soon as this happened, everyone got out of the car expecting you, and you further signaled to one of your surrounding members to leave you and Mrs. Shores alone.
In the alleged letter from Shores’ lawyers to Prescott, he is given the opportunity to pay her $100 million.
“At that time you used physical force and sexually assaulted Ms. Shores by penetrating her vagina without her consent.”
The letter informs Prescott that Shores “is willing to waive criminal charges, along with making this information public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered.”
Prescott is then told that ‘Ms. Shores’ damages are estimated at $100,000,000.00 and he had “until February 16, 2024” to respond.
McCathern said in his statement that Prescott reported the alleged extortion scheme to authorities.
Prescott does not deny having intercourse with Shores.
His filing explains that he was “single” at the time of the alleged assault and goes on to say that Shores’ conduct over the past seven years is “consistent with his involvement in solely consensual actions with Mr. Prescott.” ‘
“The fact that Mr. Prescott heard nothing negative about this alleged interaction nearly a decade ago truly speaks to the defendants’ motives,” the filing said.

The countersuit is also valued at $100 million, although McCathern stated that any award would be donated by Prescott to the Joyful Heart Foundation, which helps victims of sexual assault.
The 30-year-old Prescott led the NFL in touchdown passes last season before finishing second in the MVP voting behind Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Prescott is entering the final season of his four-year, $160 million contract. He has earned more than $160 million in eight NFL seasons.
He and his girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos, recently announced the birth of a baby girl.
