Star Wars: The Old Republic is getting cozy with a new farm
A new developer stream for Star Wars The Old Republic showed off a surprising feature on the way in Game Update 7.5. Players can earn their own farm on the planet Dantooine after completing a series of missions. The fun part will be accompanied by a Spring Abundance festival, which includes the surprisingly comfortable activities of “seed collecting, dancing, cake baking, animal rehabilitation and a galactic egg hunt,” according to a press release.
Star Wars The Old Republic has been live for 13 years and there is a huge archive of content for players to enjoy. Ten months ago the MMORPG changed hands original developer BioWare to Broadswordthe studio behind it UltimaOnline And Dark Age of Camelot. While The old republic has faded from the spotlight, it’s still a highly entertaining game worth revisiting to scratch a Star Wars itch.
Broadsword takes the game in an intriguing direction. Patch 7.4.1 included Date Night companion missions, and that’s exactly what you’d expect from the name. These missions become available when the companion has romanced and are available in a player’s story. Some circumstances may cause the partner of your choice to leave the party. Date Night missions are released in batches and yield a unique title and decoration.
Update 7.5 also includes a new main story chapter where players feud with a Hutt, and new single-player ventures intended to provide a challenging experience. Players train their very own Basilisk Prototype B3-S1 (or Bessie) and prepare them for battle. Eventually, Bessie will join your team as a permanent companion. The release date for Update 7.5 will be announced soon.
