Triple M radio host Marty Sheargold goes on furious tirade at comedian Jim Jefferies after he misses interview to promote his tour sponsored by the station: ‘Do you own job’
Top Australian comedian Jim Jeffries has been given a ferocious spray by Triple M breakfast presenter Marty Sheargold.
The controversial Melbourne radio star slammed popular host of Seven’s The 1% Club after he failed to show up for an interview on Monday.
Jefferies, 47, who lives in the US, was due to appear by phone for the pre-recorded bit to promote a giveaway for the Australian leg of his latest stand-up show.
“Pull your fingers out and do your job, that’s what you’re here for,” an angry Sheargold told listeners.
‘Sell tickets for your own show. It’s not my responsibility to sell you tickets, ya deadsh*t!’

Sheargold then announced that he would not be doing a giveaway for Jefferies shows.
Triple M presents the Jefferies tour Down Under and the channel presented new interviews with the comedian on Monday to promote the shows.
According to News.comJefferies missed Sheargold’s program because the breakfast show’s producers didn’t realize the comedian was ready to take his spot.

Jefferies management has been contacted for comment.
Jefferies – real name Geoff James Nugent – is known for his daring humor and has spoken out against the woke backlash against comedians.
The prankster, whose stand-up routines have caused controversy in the past, has previously said he has made so many problematic jokes that he is beyond cancelling.

“It’s very difficult to cancel someone who has said 40, 50 stupid things that he could have been canceled for,” he said. The Daily Telegraph.
He also noted the distinction between haters who actively try to cancel public figures and his many true fans, who enjoy his style of comedy.
“You can’t spend your life worrying so much, and let’s face the facts: You only get canceled for the people who want to cancel you,” he explained.

The outspoken TV star has called America home for more than a decade.
He kicks off his Give Em What They Want tour in the US on May 10 before heading Down Under in August.
