American Idol contestant Will Moseley has been branded ‘disgusting’ over a gruesome hunting video that shows four dogs being set on a terrified wild boar.
Georgia native Moseley, 23, who is a Top 8 finalist on the current season of Idol, was slammed after a 2022 Instagram video of him hunting for a pig stuck in a riverbed resurfaced.
In the disturbing clip, four dogs attack and bite the shaking pig as it tries to defend itself.
Moseley also shared a photo of him with his father and girlfriend smiling as they posed with a dead pig, which appears to be the same animal in the video.
He captioned the post: “Good old ‘January swims.’

Fans quickly took to the comments section to condemn Moseley’s cruel actions. with one writing: ‘Disgusting abuse of animals. I was a fan… for about 30 minutes until I saw this.”
Others wrote: ‘This is the most horrifying thing I have ever seen. I saw you tonight on @americanidol but I’m not sure I can be a fan of this’.
“I hope you don’t win, this is disgusting” and “Agreed!! Lost a fan. Sickening.’
Under Georgian hunting laws, wild boar can be hunted on private lands if you have permission, as well as on public lands such as National Forest Lands and Wildlife Management Areas.
A representative of the Georgia Dept.’s Wildlife Resources Division. of Natural Resources told TMZ: ‘Hunting of feral swine – an invasive species – is permitted on private lands and, where and when designated, on some public lands in Georgia.
‘Where indicated, dogs may be used to hunt wild boar. There are no restrictions on that use except on public lands.”
Moseley’s social media is full of him and his loved ones posing with dead animals they have hunted.
On Sunday, Moseley secured a spot in the top 8 after a rendition of Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde by Travis Tritt.
Moseley also shared a photo of him as his father and girlfriend smiled as they posed with a dead pig, which appears to be the same animal in the video

Moseley’s family regularly shares photos of them posing with dead animals they have hunted
Last week, Moseley from Hazlehurst, Georgia picked up Chris Stapleton’s hit Starting Over.
Meghan Trainor gave him some critiques during rehearsals and encouraged him to smile more.
