Tamboon, Victoria: Urgent search for missing female driver who vanished after her car broke down on a rural road
A woman is missing after her car broke down on a rural road in Victoria.
Samantha, whose surname has not been released, was driving on the Princes Highway when her gray Kia Sportage broke down in Tamboon at 8.15am on Friday.
It is believed a passerby stopped to help the 33-year-old woman from Point Cook, and she has not been seen since.
There are serious concerns for Samantha’s well-being due to a medical condition.
Samantha, whose surname has not been released, was driving on the Princes Highway when her gray Kia Sportage broke down in Tamboon at 8.15am on Friday.
She was last seen wearing a blue/gray fleece top, jeans and runners.
Investigators believe Samantha was trying to travel to Melbourne and possibly hitchhiked along the Princes Highway.
Victoria Police confirmed on Sunday that a search is currently underway in Tamboon with the assistance of the SES.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police.
