The A-list actor left guests at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London open-mouthed in amazement on Saturday night after performing an incredible ‘breakdance’ routine – which culminated in the splits.
The super-fit Cruise, 61, who does all his own stunts, was a surprise on the guest list at the bash. He has known the Beckhams for twenty years and David ‘idolizes’ him.
He is in Britain as he completes filming of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two, which will hit cinemas next year.

After a formal dinner, the Top Gun actor was one of the most enthusiastic dancers in the crowd of 120 people at private members club Oswalds in Mayfair.
Wearing an all-black tie, including a vest, Cruise stunned many as he demonstrated a series of breakdancing moves, culminating in the splits. One guest said: ‘People were absolutely stunned.’
Unfortunately, cameras were strictly banned by the Beckhams and it is not thought anyone took a photo.
Cruise has made famous moves on screen – most memorably in his breakthrough 1983 hit film Risky Business, when he slid across the floor in underwear and socks during Old Time Rock n Roll.
More recently, playing producer Les Grossman in the comedy Tropic Thunder, he grooved to Ludacris’ Get Back with improbable swagger.

Apparently his turn on the dance floor at Oswalds was much more in the style of Tropic Thunder. Cruise emerged in the early hours wearing dark glasses, beaming from ear to ear and signing autographs.
It was a joyful evening and Victoria was both “delighted” by the success of the party and “touched” by the turnout, which included close friends such as chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, actress Eva Longoria, and singer Marc Anthony, who flew in from Miami with his new wife Nadia. (David was best man at Anthony’s fourth wedding earlier this year, and Anthony officiated at Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding.)

Other guests included Vogue editor Edward Enninful and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with her actor husband Jason Statham. Guy Ritchie – Becks’ close friend – and his wife Jacquie were also there, along with Victoria’s family, including her younger sister Louise.

“Victoria really seemed on cloud nine,” said one guest. “I’m afraid she woke up with a sore head, though.”
The guests also significantly included all the Spice Girls – Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell – which has been her biggest wish since she sent ‘Save the Date’ cards in February, as revealed by this newspaper.
“The get-together was a lot of fun, but it was also a meaningful moment for all of them,” said a friend. “They’ve had arguments and arguments, plenty of them, but they all loved being there to celebrate with Victoria and her family.”

Earlier in the evening, the song Mama was sung by Victoria’s son Cruz to replace a speech. Brooklyn, Romeo, Harper and David gave speeches praising Victoria for her qualities as a mother, wife and entrepreneur.

Ms. Beckham is having such a good time that at one point in the evening she threw aside the walking sticks she used to arrive (she broke her foot at the gym in February) so she could dance.
