Fans fear for one Irwin ‘family member’ as she vanishes from their socials: ‘What has happened?’
Fans of the Irwin family are concerned about why a ‘family member’ has disappeared from their social media accounts.
After Robert Irwin recently took to Instagram to show the clan’s pug Stella roaming around the Australia Zoo, many wondered why it had been a while since they met one of the Piggy family’s other pets, Bindi’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Irwin, had seen.
‘What happened to little Cavalier [King Charles Spaniel] you had?’ wrote one concerned fan in the comments on Instagram.
“What happened to Piggy?” wrote another, before repeating with more urgency shortly afterwards: “What happened to Piggy please???”
The family has not yet answered the burning question.

Piggy’s last appearance was six weeks ago during a photo shoot with the family’s pug Stella on a walk.
“Sisters for life,” read the caption, followed by a hashtag for International Women’s Day.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Irwin family for comment.

However, not everyone was enamored with Stella, with some followers taking the opportunity to complain about the health problems inherent to the dog breed.
“Stop breeding pugs, they are a detriment to themselves,” one user wrote, sparking heated debate in the comments.
‘Not all pugs have health problems. If they have a good pedigree, they are very healthy. But the black market is destroying that,” another commenter responded.
However, Instagram user ‘Dollytrev’ took issue with this answer, claiming that while not all pugs have health problems, ‘more than 95% of them benefit from BOAS [Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome] surgery.’

Due to their specific, ingrown physical characteristics, pugs often have anatomical problems that limit their breathing.
Typically, BOAS surgery involves widening the nostrils, shortening the soft palate, and removing excess tissue around the larynx to increase airflow.
Dollytrev continued, “The Irwins really shouldn’t be promoting brachycephalic breeds. I know they care about animals, so I wonder what cognitive dissonance is going on here if they want one.”
But another Irwin defender took issue with this line of questioning: “In what world do they promote a short-snouted breed by posting a cute video of their dog? It’s not like they breed them. They’ve had Stella for years.’
Earlier this month, Irwin matriarch Terri also posed with Stella in honor of National Pet Day.
