TikTok influencer and Club Rat director Eva Evans’ dead at 29: Friends mourn ‘unfathomable’ loss after sister announces her shock death
Eva Evansa TikTok influencer and aspiring writer/director, has died at the age of 29.
The Club Rat The creator’s sister, Lila Joy, announced Evans’ death in a tribute on Sunday Instagramsharing a throwback photo of her late sibling smiling and dancing.
“Yesterday my family received the news that our sweet, wonderful, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, passed away,” she wrote.
“After 24 hours, I’m still in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how incredible and difficult this news will be to process,” Joy added.
A cause of death was not revealed, but Joy announced that a celebration of life will take place in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday.

“Yesterday my family received the news that our sweet, wonderful, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, passed away,” Joy wrote in an Instagram tribute on Sunday
βI wish I had Eva here to point to now because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t,β she continued.
Joy concluded: ‘I’ll keep this short so we can make plans for the days ahead, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me about how much Eva means to me and how different the world will be without her. ‘
The comments section was filled with an outpouring of love and support from those who knew Evans.
βThe loss is unfathomable, for those of us fortunate enough to have known her brilliance and goodness, but also for the world, which is not the place it would have been without her,β one person wrote.
Another added: ‘I’m so sorry for your loss. She was one of a kind. Her art and stories brought joy and humor to many of us in New York during difficult times. This icon will be missed.β
‘Heartbreaking. Eva was a beautiful and brilliant soul,β a friend wrote. βI remember meeting her years ago at four in the morning and talking about our favorite works of art. The world has never known anyone like her and never will.β

Last year, Evans debuted a five-episode series on Prime Video titled Club Rat, which she wrote, directed and starred in.
She played a “self-centered influencer” who “attempts to reenter the chaotic New York City dating scene after a candid video of her humiliating breakup goes viral.”
Evans co-starred with Noa Fisher and Marcela Avelina in the episodes, which ranged from five to ten minutes.
