Horror as at least two children killed and 15 others injured as suspected female drunk driver, 66, crashes into kids birthday party at Michigan boat club

Two children have been tragically killed after a suspected drunk driver crashed through a building where a birthday party was being held.
The horror happened around 3pm on Saturday in Berlin Township, Michigan, at the Swan Boat Club, with footage showing the vehicle speeding erratically before hitting the outside of the building.
Nine victims – three children and six adults – were rushed to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries. The two children who died were an eight-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy, who were siblings.
Officials said the car flew more than 25 feet into the building, injuring or killing a total of 15 victims, including both children and adults.

The horror happened Saturday around 3 p.m. in Berlin Township, Michigan, at the Swan Boat Club, where a children’s birthday party was being held.
The driver of the car was a 66-year-old woman. Their identities have not been confirmed.
The suspect was arrested at the scene for operating under the influence resulting in death, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said at a news conference.
The sheriff said additional charges are expected to be filed against the woman as the investigation continues.
Several ambulances and helicopters rushed to the scene, where police set up a reunification point for involved families, reports said Click on Detroit.
The sheriff said first responders on the scene described the incident as “extremely chaotic” with “a high level of emotions.”
