Wests Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis says club officials reached out to Api Koroisau after the star signing publicly shamed them at Monday’s grand final celebrations.

Koroisau, who will sign a three-year deal with the wooden spoons starting next season, mocked the Tigers while partying with 3,000 Panthers fans when he burst out laughing while talking about a Tigers premiership.

“For the last few years that I’ve been (in Penrith), this place has become like family to me,” Koroisau said.

“So much young talent, and to do such a high, it’s unbelievable.

“And we’ll probably do the same with the Tigers,” he added, before laughing sarcastically.

Wests Tigers fans were smoking after the sled.

Koroisau’s move to the Tigers was also reportedly mocked by Panthers teammates on Sunday afternoon in a video posted to social media.

The whore was filmed showing off his three premiership rings when another player was heard saying, “Last. Don’t get it from the Tigers.

Hagipantelis confirmed that the club had contacted Koroisau about the outbreak at his new home and acknowledged that he should have acted differently.

“We have contacted Api Koroisau’s manager and the matter has been handled privately,” Hagipantelis said. SEN radio.

“Api is a thoroughly decent person and if he had the time again I think he would reconsider those comments. They were in the spur of the moment and emotions play a big part and maybe some alcohol too.

“We are not going to put a lot of money into it and we would like to welcome him to the club once his World Cup commitments are completed.”

Meanwhile, Tigers-bound Eels star Isaiah Papali’i has also made fun of his new club at Dally M Awards night.

Papali’i reportedly considered doing a backflip on his three-year deal with the club and was asked about the matter that night.

“Blink twice if you’re going to the Tigers next year,” the interviewer said.

Papali’i was seen opening his eyes as wide as possible and holding up his hands, laughing from the interviewers.

Hagipantelis called the Papali’i contract drama a “storm in a teacup.”

“We didn’t comment on it because it wasn’t necessary,” Hagipantelis said.

“We are contractually bound to Isaiah, he is contractually bound to the Wests Tigers and there has never been any suggestion from either side that they would fail to fulfill their contractual obligations.

“We have been assured that Isaiah will join the club once his World Cup commitments are also fulfilled.”

“We also didn’t give that story any oxygen because there was nothing in it,” Hagipantelis said.
