Perth family receives note from neighbour after throwing a noisy 21st birthday party until midnight

A disgruntled neighbor has been charged with leaving a ‘passive-aggressive’ note to a local resident for making noise ‘until midnight’ at their 21st birthday party.
The writer sarcastically congratulated the birthday boy’s parents for raising “another contemptuous and disrespectful person” and scolded the son for “choosing” to be “offensive” to his neighbors.
The just 21-year-old from Perth shared the note, typed in a red font, to the satirical news site The Bell Tower Times and added that prior to the party, the neighbor had received a flyer warning of possible noise.
A Perth man who just celebrated his 21st birthday shared a mean note left by a neighbor after his party, calling him “insulting”, “dismissive and disrespectful” and shocking hundreds online
To the parent: Congratulations on raising a 21-year-old and learning not to care or care about the neighbors, to party out loud, and basically be another disdainful and disrespectful human being. Good job!’ read the snarky message.
Then the resident urged the “birthday person” to be considerate of his neighbors and “use your brain” when partying until midnight.
“I truly believe this is a milestone that should be celebrated and I hope you never meet neighbors like you in your life,” they said.
“If and when you decide to start a family or come home tired from work or even want the RIGHT to sleep peacefully in your own home, yes that is a RIGHT, please think of your neighbors.”
They said the partygoers should have informed their neighbors in advance so they could “plan or prepare the circumstances” or bring parties to a club or restaurant.
“But no, you chose to be rude and disrespectful and guess what… you have to live with that!” the wrote.
“You’re 21 now, so try to be a respectful adult next time.”
Hundreds took over the comments to criticize the “wretched” note-taker and wish the recipient a happy birthday.
“You mean they partied until midnight and then stopped without police intervention? They can consider that a success! Happy 21st!’ one person wrote.
‘Good grace! A 21st birthday party! That went on until midnight! I am shocked and shocked! So inconsiderate! *insert sarcasm font*,” another joked.
“Some people just need to get a life. If it was loud until 4am, fine. But it sounds like it finished at midnight. Good on them!’ said a third.
“Somebody’s mad they never got an invite,” a fourth joked.
Others said while the annoying neighbor was out of line, the family should have informed local residents if they were throwing a loud party.
‘Just to be clear: flyers have been sent and certainly received. How else could they have known it was a 21st party?’ replied the young man.
This isn’t the first time a not-so-neighbor message has caused a stir online.
An irate resident has received a surprisingly well-mannered response after writing an expletive-laden note instructing his neighbor to keep the noise down at night.
The heated exchange between Perth’s neighbors was shared with The Bell Tower Times 2.0making viewers dazzling.

The disgruntled local resident of Mosman Park wrote an angry note to the noisy neighbor telling them to stop playing videos at night and taped it to a wall in the complex.
‘Just a tip. Don’t play your personal growth videos at maximum volume at night, you’re being inconsiderate,” the message read.
Despite the rude tone, the resident to whom the message was addressed wrote a polite reply on the back of the page apologizing for causing the inconvenience and requesting the note-maker to clean up his language.
“Sincere apologies if my podcast bothered you. I adjust the volume and placement of my speaker. It wasn’t near maximum volume, but I appreciate the sound has to travel and I’m sorry,” they wrote.

“I also have a tip that swearing at your neighbor isn’t very nice or considerate either. Just bringing an issue to their attention is enough. Peace and love xoxo.’
People in the comments were impressed by the ‘understated’ and reasonable response and joked with the resident who wrote the mean message, maybe he should listen to a ‘personal growth’ podcast himself.
“I think the personal growth podcast really needs to be turned up to the max volume…the neighbor clearly needs them more,” one woman laughed.
“The damn call was a bit blunt, but I really appreciate the low-key but quickly simmering tension as a dynamism,” another commented.
‘Yes, maybe you should ask the man nicely. That seems to work in most parts of the world’, agrees a third.
“Those podcasts should work, handled well,” one man laughed and another said, “Someone’s TOLD.”
