Rep. Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Greene confronted Vice President Kamala Harris on Twitter on Monday about the Democrat’s comments about hurricane control justice

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia asked Vice President Kamala Harris if her husband’s life was “worth less” for being white in an astonishingly brash Twitter post on Monday.

The conservative firefighter responded to Harris’s recent comments, suggesting equality should take precedence over equality in distributing hurricane relief in Puerto Rico and Florida.

During a discussion onstage at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership forum, she said: “It is our lowest-income communities and our communities of color that are most affected by these extreme conditions and affected by issues not covered by are caused by themselves.’

“And so we need to approach this in a way that’s about giving resources based on equality, understanding that we’re fighting for equality, but we also need to fight for equality, understanding that not everyone starts in the same place,” the deputy said. president told actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

‘If we want people to be on an equal footing, we sometimes have to take those differences into account.’

Greene compared Harris’s comments to discrimination in her tweet Monday.

‘@KamalaHarris Hurricanes don’t target people based on their skin color. Hurricanes don’t discriminate,” the outspoken congresswoman wrote.

“Nor is the federal government allowed to provide aid to people suffering from the devastation of Hurricane Ian.”

She added, “Is your husband’s life worth less because he’s white?”

Harris’ husband, second Lord Doug Emhoff, is white and Jewish.

Greene was previously accused of making inflammatory remarks at Donald Trump’s meeting in Michigan a few days ago.

“I’m not going to mince words with all of you. Democrats want Republicans dead, and they’ve already started killing,” Greene said.

GOP Senator Rick Scott was asked Sunday by CBS News’ Face The Nation to respond to Greene’s comments, but instead focused on criticizing Harris’ “equity” comment.

“I didn’t see what she said,” Scott said of Greene.

“But it doesn’t help what the vice president says if she thinks FEMA is going to treat people differently based on their skin color.”

FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell had to assure Americans on Sunday that “all communities” affected by Hurricane Fiona and Hurricane Ian would receive the emergency assistance they need if asked about Harris’s comment.

“Our programs support everyone,” Criswell told Face The Nation.

“I’d say I think some of the things the vice president was talking about is the long-term recovery and rebuilding of these communities to withstand disasters so they can have less of an impact.”

She added: “We are going to support all communities. I made that promise to the governor, I promise you here that all Floridians will get the help available to them through our programs.”
