Taylor Swift teases ‘timetable’ for her highly-anticipated new album The Tortured Poets Department and reveals music video release details

Taylor Swift has unveiled the timeline for her highly anticipated new album The Tortured Poets Department.

Swifties are patiently awaiting its release on Friday, April 19 – and now the Style hitmaker, 34, has revealed more details for the day.

On Wednesday night, she shared a promotional video for the album on her Instagram, sending fans wild.

The clip started in a ’70s-inspired room, reminiscent of the Midnights era – her last album released.

Inside the room were pieces of crumbled paper on the floor, as well as a series of records and a clock that read two o’clock.

The camera then leads viewers down a white hallway to a room with the name The Tortured Poets Department on it.

Inside there are empty white desks with typewriters on them and coffee cups, after which the camera zooms in on a notice board on the wall.

On the wall was the date April 19, along with the words: “The Tortured Poets Department Release Day.”

Underneath it was a note that read: “8:00 PM ET. Music video release!!” – as well as fourteen slashes.

She simply wrote in the caption, “The TTPD schedule.”

It comes just after Taylor unveiled a pop-up library in Los Angeles earlier today as she geared up for the new album.

The Karma hitmaker’s fans queued for more than five hours to visit a pop-up poetry library.

Fans lined up at 5 a.m. for the special event, sponsored by Spotify, just to get some insight into Swift’s upcoming eleventh studio album, the Tortured Poets Department.

The singer is known for surprising her fans with Easter Eggs, and she continued the tradition by setting up a large bookshelf with clues about her new body of work.

This is Swift’s first album where she hasn’t released a single prior to the album, adding to fans’ eagerness to learn new information about what’s to come.

The album – which was first announced by Taylor at the Grammys two months ago – will be released on Friday, April 19.

The exhibit was located across the street from Cheesecake Factory in the Grove, where Swift’s longtime nemesis Kanye West regularly dines with wife Bianca Censori.

Among the carefully curated items that fans sifted through and later discussed on social media were a clock left at “2:00 PM” – as in the new promo video -, a tambourine, a notebook with the words “US” scribbled on the back, a fountain pen and a perpetual calendar set to Friday, December 13.

There was also a small statue of Diana of Ephesus (the goddess of childbirth and fertility and the goddess of the moon).

One fan commented: ‘The original statue of Diana collapsed while waiting to be shipped to London in the 6th century due to years of neglect, succumbing to the passage of time and the elements.’

Fans took this as an attack on Swift’s ex, British actor Joe Alwyn, 33.

In February, Swift dropped the tracklist for the album, which will see her collaborate with Post Malone and Florence & The Machine.

Among the songs on the album is one titled “So Long, London,” which many believe describes Swift’s breakup with Joe.

One item on the bookshelf at the mall was an old-fashioned typewriter with a page of Swift’s track listing.

In one part of the bookshelf were a number of books, a jar of puzzle pieces and an hourglass.

There was a book called ‘The Manuscript’, authored by Swift himself, along with another book called ‘The Black Dog’.

There were other books that listed the names of some of her songs on the upcoming album.

There was also a golden birdcage among the books. Yet another book was called ‘Fresh Out The Slammer.’

There was also a small file drawer with Taylor’s name on it. Dried flowers were sticking out of some half-open drawers.

Many Swifties wore colorful beaded bracelets – a hallmark of Swift fandom.

In February, Swift shared a photo of a piece of art on Instagram for the record, featuring a black and white photo of herself and “I love you, it’s ruining my life” written over her shoulder, as well as the list of songs.

Side A begins with the Post Malone collaboration, Fortnight, and is followed by the album’s title track, My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys and Down Bad.

While side B So Long, London, But Daddy I Love Him, Fresh Out the Slammer and Florida!!! contains Florence + the Machine in the last song.

Side C offers Guilty as Sin?, Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?, I Can Fix Him (No, I Really Can) and ‘Ioml’.

The final part of the album, Side D, contains I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, The Alchemy, Clara Bow and bonus track The Manuscript.

The Blank Space singer announced the release of her album when she accepted Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights at the Grammy Awards.

In her acceptance speech, she said: “I would like to thank the members of the Recording Academy for voting in this way.

“But I know the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the fans’ passion.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, heaped praise on her upcoming album, calling it “incredible.”

The NFL star confirmed he has heard bits of the record. “I heard about it, yeah, and it’s unbelievable,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said at a press conference in Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl, according to The Kansas City Star.
