‘I would like [to have] him as director. I thought, “God damn it!” [I spent] an hour ago I tried to convince him, and he said, “I’ll do it, boy.”

Hemsworth remained tight-lipped about the name of the film, describing it as “abstract and interesting… a little story about a man and a woman.”
“It’s definitely more visible in his wheelhouse, as far as the kind of Western environment. There are horses involved, he’s a horse dealer, and my wife read it and loves horses,” Hemsworth said.
“We have ten or eleven horses at home and she says, ‘You have to do this.’
Costner also spoke to Entertainment Tonight at CinemaCon about turning down Hemsworth, saying: “It’s a love story, but as long as I’m still young enough to play it, I’ll play it.”

“Chris will have to wait his turn,” he continued cheekily, adding, “He’s so handsome and he’s so good. He’ll have to go find his own [own] love story. [But] I’m glad he likes this one.’
However, Costner admitted that Hemsworth could still have a chance to land a role in one of his films in the future.
‘When I reach a moment where I… [don’t] I think I could, I would [reach out]. He is certainly one of our great leading men right now,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chris focuses on promoting his upcoming action film Furiosa and Transformers One, in which he voices Orion Pax, a young Optimus Prime.
