Meghan Markle ‘acted like a small child wanting a cuddle’ as she put on an ‘intensely affectionate’ display with Nacho Figueras’ family during Florida visit, body language expert claims

Meghan Markle ‘acted like a little child wanting to be cuddled’ as she put on an ‘intensely affectionate’ display with Nacho Figueras’ family for a Netflix shoot yesterday, a body language expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted with Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina in Palm Beach, where Prince Harry was filming scenes for his upcoming Netflix series about polo.

During filming, Meghan was seen warmly hugging Harry’s polo-playing friend, his wife Delfina – who was previously referred to as a ‘sister’ – and their eight-year-old daughter Alba.

Speaking to FEMAIL, body language expert Judi James described how Meghan showed ‘unity’ with Delfina – as they were pictured walking away with their arms around each other.

She asked, “Meghan approached Nacho’s wife with both arms outstretched for a hug.

“This gesture is intensely affectionate because, as an intentional or announcing gesture, it mimics a small child wanting to be picked up by his parent for a hug.”

Additionally, Judi said the way the women walked together also gave insight into their extremely close relationship.

The expert continued, “As the two women walk together, they lean their heads forward to touch each other. Proximity to the head is a sign of trust, but also a symbol of unity and like-minded thinking.

‘Their arms are wrapped around each other’s torsos and despite the height difference they are completely in sync. They look like they’ve been best friends for years.”

Moreover, the expert also noted that Meghan’s show of warmth towards the couple and their child rarely coincided with the news that she is working on a new Netflix series on the topic of friendship.

Judi explained: ‘Meghan’s body language displays at the Figueres family seem to completely reflect the non-verbal definition of friendship, which is a complete coincidence as this is said to be one of the themes of her Netflix shows.

“We have never seen Meghan look so tactile and unconditionally warm before, but it does show a hidden, ‘private’ side of her that fits her new subject.”

However, Meghan’s warm body language during these interactions was the result of “slowly built” affection.

The expert said: ‘Meghan has of course always demonstrated a capacity for tactile and loving PDAs with both her husband and with charities she supports, but the way she walks with Nacho’s wife here and her hug with his young daughter indicates a level of friendship. that usually only comes with time and slowly built affection.

“Meghan’s embrace of Nacho’s daughter is also warm and affectionate. She embraces the girl with both arms for what appears to be a prolonged hug and gives a kiss on the head to reinforce the suggestion of affection.’

In 2022, Delfina praised Meghan in an interview with ‘stronger than she thinks’ Hello! magazine.

In 2022, after a glamorous polo match in Aspen, Colorado, Delfina said:[Meghan] is so great and strong. Stronger than she knows. I love being with my friends, and I will always support her.”

In the summer of 2022, Delfina shared a loving message about the Duchess of Sussex via her social media account, saying it was “so special” to spend time with her.

Delfina posted a photo of the couple standing as they watched their spouses compete at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club: “M – I look forward to many more of these times with you and H.”

‘It was so special to spend time together these two months. I wish everyone knew you for who you are.”

She continued: ‘My sister, my now fellow ‘pwife’ – genius of you to come up with this. I can’t wait to see you again soon, to share excitement, walks and just more relaxing time.’

Delfina added, “You have my respect too. Keep walking, steady and strong. Listen to your heart, it will guide you well, because you have a big one and it is a beautiful one. I love you my darling.’

Delfina first met her husband Nacho at a polo match in Buenos Aires in 1997. They started dating in early 1998 and welcomed their first son in 2000, marrying in December 2005.

The couple now have four children together: Hilario; Aurora; Artemo; and Alba.

Described by Tatler as ‘the David Beckham of Polo’, Nacho now has a six-goal handicap and an estimated net worth of $30 million and has been a model for Ralph Lauren since 2000.
