Zoe Foster Blake reveals the real reason she and radio star husband Hamish stopped posting photos with their kids’ faces online

Zoe Foster Blake has revealed the reason why she stopped posting so many photos of the two children she shares with radio star husband Hamish online.

The couple, parents to Sonny, eight, and Rudy, five, once flooded their Instagram accounts with adorable photos of their boys, but now they are rarely seen online.

While fans may be disappointed, they will no longer get a glimpse into their family lives, 43-year-old Zoe said The Sydney Morning Herald on Sundays it is best.

‘We’re very private and very boring. We’re just a normal family and I think our tendency to share our lives has diminished a lot,” she told the publication.

Despite their tendency towards privacy as the kids get older, Zoe and Hamish still post happy snaps from family holidays, strategically hiding Sonny and Rudy’s faces.

Zoe went on to say that learning to raise children came with many obstacles, but she and Hamish, 42, are learning to deal with them together.

‘We read a lot about it [parenting], we do the work, we want to raise our children as best as possible. “We don’t want to treat it like a job, we want to treat it like a project,” she said.

With a popular comedian for a father, it seemed the author and entrepreneur was at risk of being outnumbered by pranksters, but she insisted this was far from the truth.

“Rudy is very funny, she has very good comedic timing,” Zoë admitted, but revealed that this was not the case for her eldest.

Zoe said her son Sonny is “a little more like me” and has more of a penchant for following the rules because “he likes to do things the right way.”

It comes after Zoe broke her silence on buying back her stake in her skincare brand Go-To after beauty company BWX went into administration.

'We're very private and very boring. We're just a normal family and I think our tendency to share our lives has diminished a lot,” Zoë said.

The Australian author first sold her 51.5 percent stake in her beauty brand to the ASX-listed beauty conglomerate in 2021 for $89 million.

But just two years later, Zoe and Go-To co-founder Paul Bates bought back their controlling stake in the company for a fraction of the $21.8 million price after BWX went into administration in April 2023.

Reflecting on the turbulent time, Zoe admitted she felt ‘way out of her depth’ with the deal as there is no ‘handbook’ for finding the perfect business partner.

The wife of comedian Hamish Blake said she felt “motherly” towards Go-To and did everything she could to save the company after the BWX deal unraveled.
