Netflix fans go wild over ‘must watch’ new drama and say they ‘need’ a second season ‘right now’

A new sci-fi series has taken Netflix by storm and left viewers on the edge of their seats – with fans demanding a second season after an ‘unexpected’ open ending.

Parasyte: The Gray was released on the streaming platform on April 5 and the creepy thriller has already earned a cult following, with many fans binge-watching the series in one sitting.

The six-part series is based on the original manga Kiseiju, created by Hitoshi Iwaki and also lasts six episodes.

The action-packed Korean drama takes place months after mysterious spores fall from the sky and begin infecting a number of citizens.

Jeong Su-in is a store clerk who is infected with one of the unknown parasites, but seems unaffected by their power.

Su-in is called in by the authorities who use her so-called resistance to help combat the threat. Will the parasites achieve their one main goal: infecting and taking over humanity?

According to enthusiastic fans, the answer seems to lie in a possible second season.

At X, many viewers expressed their excitement about the “great” new series and their hopes for another season.

It comes as Netflix fans have recently become ‘hooked’ on a new foreign language crime drama.

All 32 episodes of the show – called Entrivas in Spanish, after the neighborhood where the series is set – are available with subtitles on Netflix.
