Zara Tindall gets back in the saddle to compete on day one of The Burnham Market International Horse Trials
Zara Tindall was back in the saddle today as she took part in the Burnham Market International Horse Trials in Norfolk.
Paired with a stylish navy blue double-breasted jacket and white breeches, the Princess Royal’s daughter, 42, looked like she meant business as she rode elegantly around the impressive course.
The king’s niece, who shares daughters Mia, 10, and Lena, five, and son Lucas, three, with former England rugby star Mike Tindall, also wore a navy blue and white riding hat.
Beaming, Zara looked to be enjoying the action as she mastered the course during the first day of the event.
Her outing comes after it was revealed her brother Peter Phillips, 46, has split from his ‘iron strong’ girlfriend Lindsay Wallace after three years together.

Zara’s illustrious career as an equestrian includes gold at the 2005 European Eventing Championships and silver at the 2006 World Equestrian Games.
Last month, the royal family kicked off the Easter weekend with an equestrian competition, joining the crème de la crème of British eventers at the Thoresby Park International Eventing Spring Carnival in Newark.
The daughter of Princess Royal looked relaxed at the first international event of the British season, which is seen as a precursor to the Badminton Horse Trials in early May.
Dressed in bright white riding breeches and a navy blue jacket over a gray hoodie, with a navy blue and white riding hat, the royal also wore sunglasses as she put her beloved gelding Class Affair through her paces at the event.
Meanwhile, Zara’s brother Peter, who was reportedly the late queen’s favorite grandson, started dating his longtime girlfriend Lindsay, 43, following his split from Autumn Kelly, 45, in 2021.
The pair have now gone their separate ways after the relationship “ran its course,” a source said the sun.
Peter and Lindsay, the daughter of an oil magnate, are still amicable, and no one else is believed to be involved.
Lindsay has been to several royal events with Peter, who is close to his uncle King Charles.

‘They were friends before their relationship blossomed. But Peter and Lindsay have gone their separate ways as the relationship just ran its course,” a source told the Sun.
A friend of the couple added Hello! that Peter’s work commitments mean he has been traveling ‘non-stop’.
‘Peter and Lindsay made the difficult decision to separate as they found themselves spending less time together with work and family commitments. “Peter’s business commitments and work in F1 meant he was traveling non-stop,” the source said.
‘It obviously came as a shock as most people thought they were absolutely rock solid, it’s very sad. Peter has traveled all over the world and has been incredibly busy and Lindsay lives in Scotland so it has been difficult for them to see each other.’
The late Queen’s grandson, who lives on his mother’s estate in Gatcombe Park, receives no money from the royal grant and works as head of partner acquisitions for rights agency CSM Sport & Entertainment and as an ambassador for ISPS Handa, as well as several others approval performances.
In June, a friend of the King’s cousin told Hello that Peter has always been “extremely close” to Charles and that “it meant a lot” that he could take Lindsay to the coronation concert.
The source told the newspaper: “He’s in a great place right now and couldn’t be happier, both in his private and personal life.”
The friend added that the pair look “so natural” in each other’s company, adding that they are “incredibly happy” together.
Zara’s outing comes after it was revealed her brother Peter Phillips, 46, has split from his ‘iron-strong’ girlfriend Lindsay Wallace (pictured together in June 2022, at Royal Ascot) after three years together.
“Lindsay is truly a breath of fresh air and it’s clear to see that both Lindsay and Peter love life,” the friend continued.
Peter and Canadian-born Autumn announced their separation in 2020, and the divorce was finalized in 2021. They share two daughters, Savannah, 13, and Isla, 12.
Meanwhile, stay-at-home mum Lindsay split from businessman husband of 11 years Andrew around the same time Peter announced his divorce.
Mum-of-two Lindsay knows Peter and his sister Zara from their £45,000-a-year school days at Gordonstoun.
Lindsay was at school the same year as Zara and was one of the guests at the royal family’s 2011 wedding to rugby star Mike.
Rumors of a romance between Peter and Lindsay first emerged when he visited her in March 2021, raising questions about whether he had broken lockdown restrictions.
Eight months later, he showed he was serious about his new relationship when he took Lindsay as a date to his cousin Lucas’ baptism. The couple was photographed together in a car before the meeting.
Peter, the eldest child of Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, then took the very important step of introducing Lindsay to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who was reportedly “delighted.”
Lindsay met Her Majesty during a shooting in Windsor and the meeting was described by a source as ‘warm’.
A spokesperson for Peter confirmed at the time that Lindsay had accompanied him to the joint christening of Zara and Mike Tindall’s son, Lucas, and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s son, August, in Windsor.
