Shirtless man on a dimly lit Brisbane road jumps on the bonnet of a car and punches through the windscreen

A woman driving home at night had a disturbing encounter with a man who jumped on her hood and punched a hole in her windshield.

The terrifying incident happened around 7.30pm on Saturday in a south-eastern suburb of Brisbane, 9News reports.

The woman had just turned onto Freeth St West in Ormiston when a man jumped in front of her car.

The driver, who asked to remain anonymous, said she saw a man and a woman walking down the street and they appeared to be arguing.

The man jumped on her hood and smashed the windshield. He also tried to get into the passenger side of her car

She slowed down and tried to drive around them, but the man got in her way.

He jumped on her hood and “hit the windshield several times.”

β€œIt happened so quickly, it was a shock,” she said.

The woman said the man also tried to get into her car through the passenger door, but it was locked.

β€œI couldn’t drive away because the woman was behind the car and if I reversed I could have hit her,” she said.
