Robert Pattinson hits the red carpet for the first time as a new father with director Bong Joon-ho to promote their film Mickey 17 at CinemaCon
Just weeks after welcoming his first child with fiancée Suki Waterhouse, Robert Pattinson returned to the red carpet.
The 37-year-old actor – who revealed he already wants more children with Waterhouse – arrived at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
He was at the annual cinema convention to promote his new film Mickey 17, together with director Bong Joon-ho (Parasite).
Pattinson appeared on the red carpet in a unique dark blue turtleneck with some embroidered stripes with patterns for the advertisement.
The clean-shaven actor also wore a sharp gray Dior button-up jacket for the annual event.

The Batman star completed his look with gray trousers and a pair of rare Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro Low x Dior sneakers, one of only 4,700 produced.
His director – Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho – opted for an all-black look, with a black shirt, tie, jacket, pants and shoes to match his black hair.
They were both there to present the first trailer for their film Mickey 17, which will be released in theaters on January 31, 2025.
The film is based on Edward Ashton’s 2022 novel Mickey 7, with director Bong explaining a key difference between the book and the novel during the panel.
‘It’s based on the novel Mickey 7, but we made it Mickey 17. The number is the number of times he dies,” the filmmaker explained.
‘I’ll kill him ten times more. It is a story of a simple man. It’s a science fiction movie. It’s hard to call it science fiction, it’s a human story,” Bong said.
Pattinson’s title character is an expendable clone who is part of an expedition to the ice world Niflheim.
The footage played during the panel shows Pattinson’s character Mickey dying in various ways when he encounters another clone of his who tries to kill him.

Warner Bros. presidents Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy said the twin clones were “really fun characters.”
“Mickey 17 has the lowest expectations for his life, and the world keeps pushing him. … 18 comes along and he has frontal lobe damage and libido damage. He has no idea how 17 survived. It’s like playing an out-of-control brother,” they said.
Although the trailer has not yet been released to the public, director Bong was happy for exhibitors to see it on the big screen for the first time.
“I’m happy that we can show the trailer on a big screen – and not on mobile phones,” the filmmaker said to loud applause.
