Longtime NFL defensive back Logan Ryan has announced his retirement at the age of 33.
Ryan, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots, spent last season with the 49ers and shared his decision on social media.
“Thank you to all my family, friends and teammates for the guidance and support!” he captioned a video about X announcing his decision. ‘Thanks to the fans for watching!
“I won 2 Super Bowls and came out happy and healthy to be the best dad to my kids! Thanks again for 11 seasons! Cheers to the next one.”
He added in the video: “Man, what an amazing career, what a ride it has been. Beautiful journey of highs and lows as they always are.’

Ryan then teased his next move, saying, “Stay tuned, we have a lot in store.”
Ryan began his career in New England after being selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft before signing with the Titans prior to the 2017 season and later suiting up for the Giants, Buccaneers and 49ers.
He was part of the Patriots’ Super Bowl-winning teams during the 2014 and 2016 seasons, beating the Seahawks and Falcons in the championship.
