Ola ride-sharing will be discontinued across Australia
Rideshare service Ola is closing across Australia.
Ola, one of Uber’s biggest competitors, sent an email to its customers shockingly stating that the company would “cease operations” from April 12.
“This means that from that date onwards you will no longer be able to book rides via your Ola app,” the email said.
‘From April 12, 2024, you will no longer be allowed to make journeys with a vehicle pretending to be an Ola vehicle or Ola driver.
“Ola has not authorized any driver or any other party to use the Ola brand or provide rides on behalf of Ola.”
Ola announced it would launch in Australia in 2018 to take on Uber.
