The Bachelor’s Alisha Aitken-Radburn reveals her bizarre pregnancy cravings after revealing she is expecting her first child with co-star Glenn Smith

The Bachelor Alisha Aitken-Radburn has revealed some of her unusual food cravings, days after announcing she is expecting her first child with husband and former co-star Glenn Smith.

The former Labor staffer turned reality star, 31, took to Instagram on Sunday to respond to a fan who asked if she was experiencing strange cravings during her first trimester.

She shared three photos showing the type of food she craved: a plate of sliced ​​lemons, waffles and cake with capers and a glass of milk.

“So far I’ve definitely been swapping sour and salty over sweet, which is honestly pretty standard for me even though I’m not pregnant,” she began her caption.

“That first one — literally just sliced ​​lemon with salt (sorry to my dentist Dr. Luke) — is usually on my rotation, but I swear I could eat one a day right now and I’m holding myself back,” she continued.

‘Photo two is my beautiful selection at the Brekky buffet in the south a few weeks ago, waffles with capers. Heaven for me now.’

She described drinking full cups of milk as her “wildest” craving yet, and admitted to secretly indulging in the booze at work.

“I had to sneak around at work pouring milk into mugs, trying to disguise it as a 3pm coffee so my coworkers would still want to work with me,” she mused.

Alisha elaborated on the intensity of her cravings in a separate Instagram Story post, writing, “Additionally, I was completely unprepared for how fixated I would become with certain foods.”

“When I get hungry, I can’t continue with my day until I’ve satisfied the craving. Case in point: Birria tacos. “I saw a video of them and couldn’t do anything else until they were in my mouth,” she complained.

Alisha and Glenn, 36, announced they were expecting their first child in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

The couple shared a heartwarming photo of themselves posing on a bed as Alisha held up an ultrasound scan to the camera.

‘I’ve been keeping a little secret. Baby Smith arriving in September,” the caption read.

Alisha later confirmed in another post that her due date is September 27, before giving some insight into their fertility journey.

“We tried for five months and we’re grateful it happened. The months ticking by are tough,” she began.

‘Before I tried to get pregnant, I had no insight into how black and white the process can feel. Your period comes and so you regroup for another month.”

She then talked about some of the challenges she and Glenn had faced while trying to conceive.

‘I was deep in Reddit threads and using multiple apps to track my cycle. I learned so much, I thought Glenn could sneeze and be pregnant, but that was absolutely not the case.’

Alisha added that they would not find out the gender of the baby as they wanted it to be a surprise.

After being portrayed as a ‘villain’ on The Bachelor, Alisha redeemed herself with glowing performances on the spin-off show Bachelor in Paradise in 2019 and 2020, and married her co-star Glenn Smith in April last year.
