CMT Awards 2024: Best dressed on the red carpet

The 2024 CMT Awards are finally here, with a slew of favorite artists being recognized tonight and Sunday afternoon in Austin, Texas at the Moody Center.

Kelsea Ballerini kicked off the red carpet in a crimson lace accent dress, with sheer accents along the torso and skirt.

Lainey Wilson looked stylish in black and silver flared pants, paired with a silver top and cowboy hat.

They were joined on the red carpet by Texas native Mickey Guyton, who dazzled in a stunning silver and black sheer dress.

Kelsea, 30, looked stunning in the striking red dress, which featured a lace sheer element along her torso and a sheer skirt.

The Way I Used To singer wore her long blonde locks in the middle, parted by loose waves, and opted for a pink blush and pink lip.

She was joined on the red carpet by her boyfriend, Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes, 31.

The lovebirds had previously made their red carpet debut at last year’s CMT Music Awards in April 2023.

They were first linked in January 2023.

Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, Jelly Roll and Cody Johnson top the list with three nominations each.

Trisha Yearwood will receive the first-ever June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award.

The fan-voted awards show will air live from the Moody Center on April 7.

This year’s edition will once again be hosted by country icon Kelsea Ballerini, who has hosted the last three ceremonies. However, this year marks the first time she will carry the honor alone.

Ballerini, who normally hosts Kane Brown, shared People: ‘It’s definitely new territory for me.’

“But it’s my fourth year as host, so I feel like I’ve learned a lot. And the good thing about CMT is that there is such a light energy, so there is no pressure I feel to be perfect.

“I just want to be fun, honor the night and help people have a good time.”

In addition to hosting, Kelsea has been named as one of the evening’s performers. Jason Aldean, Dasha, Trisha Yearwood, Sam Hunt and more will also take the stage.

There will also be a performance paying tribute to the late Toby Keith featuring Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Hagar, Lainey Wilson and more. Toby’s band will accompany the performance.

Wallen’s 2023 album, “One Thing at a Time,” spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, making it the most popular album of any style last year. The series broke a record previously held by Garth Brooks’ 1991 LP “Ropin’ the Wind” by becoming the longest-reigning No. 1 country album ever.

Chayce Beckham, Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders and Zach Bryan compete in the groundbreaking male video of the year category.

Other categories include Duo/Group Video of the Year, Collaboration Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year.

There are also 14 first-time nominees this year, a list that includes some acts that go beyond country music – a direct reflection of CMT’s attention to cross-genre collaborations.

Those new names include Amber Riley, Ashley Cooke, Anne Wilson, Ella Langley, The Castellows, Tigirlily Gold, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders and Zach Bryan.
