UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has reportedly threatened to kill an anti-doping official while he was ‘extremely drunk’ – after attempting to take a drug test.

Jones, who has failed multiple drug tests during his career, is accused of taking the tester’s cellphone during the incident last month.

According to ABQRAWAlbuquerque police were called to the incident involving Drug Free Sport International, which oversees the testing process for the UFC.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place at the end of March. However, the tester involved went to a location near Jones’ home on April 5 to report the incident.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Albuquerque police but has not received a response as of press time.

On Friday, a search of the court records turned up no criminal citations or charges in connection with the incident. The tester also met with officers at another location in far northeast Albuquerque while APD investigates the allegation.

Jones is no stranger to run-ins with the law. After becoming the youngest fighter to capture UFC gold, Jones suffered several accidents that led to the promotion taking disciplinary action and stripping him of the belt.

In 2015, Jones tested positive for cocaine metabolites during an out-of-competition drug test following his UFC 182 victory over Daniel Cormier. Jones retained his title but was fined $25,000 for violating the UFC’s Athlete Code and Conduct policy.

Later that year, Jones turned himself in to Albuquerque police after a hit-and-run incident that left a pregnant woman injured. Jones was subsequently stripped of his title and pleaded guilty to fleeing the scene where cannabis was found in his vehicle. Jones avoided jail time but served 18 months of supervised probation.

In 2016, Jones was scheduled to headline UFC 200 in a rematch with Cormier, but was pulled after being flagged by USADA for another doping violation. The failed test on July 6 resulted in a one-year ban from the doping agency.

After his fight with Alexander Gustafsson was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in September 2021, Jones was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with misdemeanor battery and tampering with a vehicle.

The arrest came after a domestic disturbance in which Jones’ then-fiancée Jessie Moses told police the UFC star laid hands on her and was seen with blood on her clothing. The couple went their separate ways in February 2022.

While being handcuffed by officers, Jones repeatedly called a police officer a “nerd” and said, “I hate you!”

‘Why are you doing this?’ Jones says in a video of the arrest. ‘This is so humiliating. I have the Hall of Fame tonight, and then you put me on this by walking down the street.”

Jones also accused the officers of racial profiling, shouting, “Bro, hang me, hurt me and kill me. What have I done? A black man can’t drink? Getting elected to the Hall of Fame and this is what I got?”

He then headbutted the hood of the police car, causing a dent in the vehicle.

Jones made his heavyweight debut in March 2023, winning the vacant title from Ciryl Gane via submission. He was scheduled to fight Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden in November before suffering a pectoral injury during training camp.

Jones remains the undisputed heavyweight king as he recovers from his surgery. Meanwhile, British heavyweight star Tom Aspinall will hold the interim championship in his absence.
