Rufus Sewell had to wear prosthetics to look more like Prince Andrew in drama Scoop

As if Prince Andrew doesn’t have enough on his mind lately, his jaws are now in the spotlight.

Actress Gillian Anderson has revealed that the actor portraying him in BBC Newsnight’s film adaptation of his car crash received several prosthetics for hours before filming.

Make-up artists carefully added multiple cheeks to the face of Rufus Sewell, who played the Duke of York, so that they would look more similar.

But the real-life 64-year-old prince didn’t seem concerned about the attention as he was spotted horse riding in Windsor yesterday morning.

Just hours earlier, drama Scoop went live on Netflix. The show is based on the memoirs of former Newsnight producer Sam McAlister, which delved into the story behind the interview about Andrew’s links to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Gillian Anderson posted photos of the makeover on Instagram. Sewell has already revealed that he also wore a huge prosthetic.
