People in the US have taken to the Instagram page Stoop NYC to share their incredible finds and Bored Panda collected the best in an online gallery.

The examples include British payphones spotted at 12th St. and Broadway in Manhattan, free to a good home.

Elsewhere, someone else came across an old-fashioned sewing machine in The East Village.
