50 Cent ‘not in consideration to replace Diddy as face of Ciroc vodka’ – after Making The Band vet’s partnership with Diageo ended
50 Cent is reportedly not in the running to replace Diddy as the new face of Diageo’s Ciroc after an outlet claimed the liquor brand wanted to hire the rapper as their new brand ambassador.
TMZ has reported that the rumors surrounding Diageo’s alleged interest in 50 Cent are false and that Diageo has no plans to bring the rapper on board.
Diddy – whose homes were recently raided as part of a sex trafficking investigation – worked with Ciroc for 15 years until a lawsuit the rapper filed against Diageo last year led to the end of their deal.
50 Cent, 48, added support to the rumor when he shared the original report along with an inspiring caption on his Instagram.
‘Good morning people, start the day with positive energy and make whatever your heart desires happen. QGTM,” he posted on Wednesday, adding a money bag emoji and tags to his own drink lines.

Insiders connected to 50 Cent were in disbelief when they heard about the report about his own successful alcohol line, Sire Spirits.
The original report claimed that 50 Cent was initially set to sell the vodka in 2007, before Diddy intervened and “stole the deal.”
It was also claimed that the deal could be worth up to $100 million.
Last year, Diddy sued spirits company Diageo, claiming its vodka and tequila brands had not received promised investments while being treated as inferior “urban” products.
The lawsuit filed by Combs Wine and Spirits in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan alleged that Diageo North America was starving the raw materials of Combs’ Ciroc vodka and DeLeon tequila brands while drawing attention to other famous brands.
For example, Diageo bought actor George Clooney’s tequila brand Casamigos for $1 billion in 2017.
Combs, who is black, said Diageo management told him his race was one of the reasons distribution was limited to urban neighborhoods.
He was also told that some Diageo executives resented him for making too much money, the lawsuit said.

“Disguising the language of diversity and equality is good for Diageo’s business, but it is a lie,” the lawsuit said. “While Diageo conspicuously includes images of its Black partners in promotional materials and press releases, the words only create the illusion of inclusion.”
The lawsuit alleged that its DeLeon tequila was repeatedly out of stock nationwide, including major markets in California and New York.
“Diageo has characterized Ciroc and DeLeon and apparently decided that they are ‘black brands’ that should only target ‘urban’ consumers,” the plaintiff alleged in court documents, according to TMZ.
Combs had been with the London company since 2007 when it approached him about Ciroc.
Diageo owns more than 200 brands, including Guinness beer and Tanqueray gin.
Diageo denied allegations of racism in a statement before ultimately cutting ties with Diddy.
The company reported this in a statement obtained by CNN that Diddy’s bad faith actions have clearly violated his contracts and left us with no choice but to… terminate our business relationship.”

The lawsuit comes nearly a year before Diddy’s homes were raided in connection with a sex trafficking investigation.
Along with a large presence of officers, command vehicles were seen parked outside both properties.
Local television footage showed officers carrying guns outside Combs’ LA home on Monday.
Authorities detained his sons, Justin and Christian “King” Combs, and bound their hands with zip ties.
Combs cooperated with authorities and neither he nor any family members have been arrested or had their travel restrictions imposed.
Homeland Security has not detailed what it is investigating regarding Combs.

The agency has broad jurisdiction to investigate the illegal movement of people, goods, money, technology, and contraband into, out of, and through the United States, including sex trafficking.
After the raids, he claimed to be the victim of a “witch hunt” and denounced Homeland Security’s “gross overuse of force at the military level.”
“Yesterday there was a gross, military-level use of force when search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residence. “There is no excuse for the authorities’ excessive show of force and hostility or for the way his children and employees were treated,” his lawyer Aaron Dyer said in a statement.
The criminal investigation marks a major escalation in the scrutiny of Combs, who has been the suspect in several sexual abuse lawsuits in recent months.
In a lawsuit that Combs settled the day after it was filed in November, his former protégé and girlfriend, the R&B singer Cassie, sued him for years of sexual abuse, including rape.
According to the lawsuit, he forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed them.
In February, a music producer filed a lawsuit alleging that Combs forced him to recruit prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them.
Another accuser of Combs was a woman who said the rap producer raped her 20 years ago when she was 17.
Combs and his attorneys have denied all allegations in the lawsuits.
