Angry passenger who shoved and yelled at bus driver he says did not stop for him and his three-year-old daughter refuses to apologise and insists: ‘He was in the wrong’
The angry passenger filmed himself pushing and shouting at a bus driver who he accused of failing to stop for him in front of his young daughter. He made no apologies today and hit back defiantly: “I make no apologies, he was wrong.”
Tyren Gee was captured on camera marching menacingly towards the driver, swearing at him repeatedly before pushing him with both hands.
Police have said they are aware of footage filmed in Dagenham, east London, on Saturday in which Mr Gee warned the driver that he was ‘coming back’ for him.
The forklift driver today explained that he flew into a rage after the 364 bus failed to stop for him on a hail and ride section of the route.
He and his three-year-old daughter – whom he had taken to the park – took another bus after walking to a nearby stop and he later confronted the driver when he saw him during his break.
Video footage has revealed the shocking moment a bus driver is pushed and shouted at by an angry man as his confused young daughter looks on.
The father’s anger reaches a peak at this point and he pushes the driver with both hands. Escaping any further conflict, the bus driver steps off the edge, puts his hands in his pockets and stares down at the irate father.
Mr Gee told MailOnline: ‘He looked straight at me through that giant windscreen of his bus and didn’t stop even though I was with my young daughter.
‘I was on Reede Road in Dagenham, outside the parade of shops, it’s part of the hail and ride section of the 364 bus route and it’s a wide road with plenty of room to stop.
‘But even though I clearly extended my arm, he kept driving.
‘I walked to a bus stop with my daughter and took another bus home, but the stop I get off at is a rest point for drivers and the one who didn’t stop for me earlier was taking a break.
‘I went there and spoke to him and he tried to tell me that he didn’t see me put my arm out to hail the bus, even though I know he did.
“That’s what really bugged me, all he wanted to do was run down the street to get to his rest stop so he could sit on his butt.
“I shouldn’t have gone for him the way I did, I regret that, but I don’t apologize because as far as I’m concerned he was wrong.
‘On Saturday I had taken my daughter out for the day to give my partner a break and it had been a lovely afternoon which ended on a sour note.’
The clip, posted on X, formerly Twitter, shows the confrontation a few meters away from where bus 364 is parked.
Dressed in a leather jacket with a red cap and sunglasses, Mr Gee can initially be heard shouting aggressively at the driver, who tries to argue that he did not see him.
The man then begins to walk away from the scene, but not before using more expletives and again aggressively pointing at the driver.
But with his confused-looking daughter standing just a few feet behind him, Mr. Gee walks very close to the bus driver and says, “I’ll tell you what, I’m going to drop my kid off… “I’ve been on this route all day , I’m going to f****** come after you, you little p****.”
Then he shouts, ‘Do you understand? Do you understand?’
The bus driver has now decided not to respond anymore and remains silent during the interrogation, prompting the furious father to shove him with both hands.
The man filming with his phone intervenes and says ‘that’s assault’ and advises the bus driver to ‘do nothing’ and ‘just leave him’.
To escape further conflict, the bus driver steps off the edge, puts his hands in his pockets and stares at Mr. Gee, who begins to walk away, but stops and again points aggressively at the driver.
He added: “He saw me sticking my arm out outside the shop. He literally continued driving.
“I have a three year old, I’m coming back for you, p****.”
He shouts back to the driver as he walks away and says: ‘I’ll probably see you at Ilford, yeah?’
The clip, which has been viewed more than 1.6 million times on X, was posted on Saturday.
Bus 364 runs between Dagenham East and Hainault Street in the center of Ilford in East London.
A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Police are aware of the footage and are in contact with Transport for London.
‘Anyone who can identify the man standing opposite the bus driver in the video is asked to call 101 or message @MetCC, quoting ref. 5526/31Mar’.
