Gun fanatic challenging Uvalde congressman for his seat is seen in resurfaced 2022 video promoting Nazi rifle as the ‘original ghetto blaster’

YouTuber Brandon Herrera is known for being politically incorrect, raising eyebrows at a 2022 video in which the Texas Congressional candidate promotes a Nazi rifle, a weapon he calls Hitler’s “road sweeper” and the “original ghetto blaster.”

Herrera, 28, is featured in a video from 2022 the shooting of the MP-40 submachine gun, choreographed to the song ‘Erika’, which was used as a marching tune by the Nazis.

“Today we’re making a video about a gun that I’ve wanted since I was a kid just because it’s super cool and a really cool piece of history,” the gun enthusiast known online as the AK Man explains in the clip.

He and another man dressed in military garb can be seen parading with the weapon, as the man begins a “Heil Hitler” salute, before Herrera stops him, as part of the dark-tempered skit.

Herrera, who is vying to represent a congressional district that includes Uvalde, the site of the horrific 2022 school shooting that killed nineteen children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School, acknowledges that the use of song is controversial.

“If you’re one of the few people who realizes that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the song we just used, and that it’s just a bunch of soldiers singing about a beautiful girl they miss back home, then press the subscribe button,” Herrera says in defense.

The online shock jock has and has used “Erika” as background music in other videos ‘SS marches in Feindesland’ (SS marches in enemy territory) and ‘Panzerlied’ (Tank song.)

The video fits right in with Herrera, who proudly makes color jokes in his other shocking videos, including where he recreates the assassinations of US presidents and MLK and opens a fake brain while covered in blood for his 3 million followers.

The San Antonio resident decided to run because of a vote for gun control by Republican incumbent President Tony Gonzales in the wake of the Uvalde massacre.

Gonzales voted in favor of a bipartisan 2022 bill that provides funding to states with “red flag” laws that allow judges to take away firearms from people who pose an immediate danger to themselves or others and improved background checks for gun sales.

As a result, the moderate Republican was condemned by the Republican Party in Texas – even though the congressman is an outspoken critic of the Biden administration and denounces the president’s border policies on a daily basis.

The district covers nearly half of the U.S.-Mexico border and stretches from Eagle Pass to El Paso.

Herrera, a far-left conservative who wants to get rid of the ATF, challenged Gonzales for the Republican nomination last month.

While Gonzales, a former Marine officer who served in Afghanistan, received 45% of the vote, compared to Herrera’s 25%, he fell short of the 50% needed to avoid a runoff, which was held on May 28 will take place.

Herrera has taken other extreme positions, such as being a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, an organization dedicated to vindicating “the cause we fought for,” according to their organization. website.

He had been embraced by another Republican extremist, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.

Neither the Herrera nor Gonzales campaigns responded to a request for comment.
