Food Stars: Melbourne woman reveals what it’s really like working as a private chef for Madonna and the queen of pop’s favourite Aussie snack
Madonna made a surprise appearance on Channel Nine’s new reality series Food Stars on Tuesday.
Contestant Pia Hambour, 35, shocked viewers by telling celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, 57, that she is a personal chef for the global megastar, 65.
Pia then called Madonna, who could be heard telling Ramsay she “wants her chef back.”
In an interview with 9nowPia discussed the “crazy” and “surreal” experience of serving as Madonna’s private chef.
“It’s still very surreal, I get to travel the world and work with some crazy people that I would never have the opportunity to do,” she said.

“She loves me, so that’s an added bonus.”
The Melbourne native revealed the Like a Virgin singer’s favorite Australian snack is ‘Cornflake crackles’.
‘I made Cornflake crackles for Madonna and she loved them… the next day she asked, “Is there any more Cornflakes stuff?” Pia said.

Ramsay brings his badass bravado to the new Australian reality series.
The notoriously hot-tempered celebrity chef stars in the Apprentice-style cooking competition alongside Boost Juice founder Janine Allis.
The participants are out to win $500,000 in investments to boost their business.

Ramsay and Allis, 59, are each responsible for a team of hopefuls who will pitch their best food and drink business ideas to the food gurus.
Each team must compete in high-pressure challenges to prove their worth, with the losing side facing a brutal defeat at the hands of Ramsay and Allis.
Participants will be tested on core values that are essential to all successful businesses, including customer service, sales, marketing, branding and event management.
