Rebel Wilson thinks Adele ‘HATES’ her because people used to ‘confuse’ them for one another when they were both ‘plus-size’

Rebel Wilson revealed in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir: Rebels in rebellionthat she made comparisons to Adele.

The 44-year-old Australian actress added that she thinks the 35-year-old singer “hates” her because of it. We weekly reported.

Rebel wrote: ‘Some actresses would be offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful what I say. This, I think, is why Adele hates me.”

She added, “There was a point when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for each other… I guess because honestly, I never asked her.”

According to Wilson’s story, she and Adele attended a few of the same events and whenever she walked up, the singer “always quickly” turned away.

‘As if my fatness would rub off on her if I was with her for more than thirty seconds. That she didn’t like being compared to “Fat Amy,” Wilson added regarding her Pitch Perfect character.

In the past, Wilson has said that her contract for the film prohibited her from losing weight.

The film franchise came to an end in 2017 and four years later the mother of one lost over 70 pounds.

In July 2021, she revealed this on Instagram Live, according We weekly: ‘It first started when I was researching fertility stuff and the doctor said, “Well, you’d have a much better chance if you were healthier.”

“That’s kind of where it started: If I lost some excess weight, I would have a better chance of freezing eggs and getting better quality eggs. It wasn’t even really me, I was actually thinking more of a future mini-me.’

When she discussed fertility treatments with a doctor, “He looked me up and down and said, ‘You would do much better if you were healthier.’

Rebel confessed: ‘I was surprised. I thought, “Oh God, this guy is so rude.” He was right. I was carrying a lot of excess weight.’

She thought at the time, “It’s almost like I haven’t thought about my own needs. I thought about the needs of a future child that really inspired me to become healthier.”

Rebel is now the mother of a one-year-old daughter Royce, whom she welcomed via surrogate mother and co-parents with fiancé Ramona Agruma.

As for how she achieved her weight loss, Wilson focused on becoming more active by walking and doing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with her personal trainer.

In an earlier interview with Peopleshe also explained that she had switched to a high-protein diet and admitted that she used to consume around 3,000 calories per day.

“I used to probably eat 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I was still hungry.”

‘So I’ve really switched to a high-protein diet, which is a challenge because I didn’t used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon and chicken breast,” the actress said.
