Kyle Richards reveals the ‘incredibly supportive’ advice Rihanna gave her about Mauricio Umansky woes – amid painful separation
Kyle Richards revealed some of the “incredibly supportive” wisdom Rihanna gave her during her divorce from Mauricio Umansky when she appeared on Kelly Ripa’s Let’s talk off camera podcast.
During a stop at her favorite Western clothing store Kemo Sabe, the staff told Richards that the store was actually closed to RiRi, who was upstairs with friends.
Knowing that the Oceans 8 star is “a fan of the show,” Richards was able to secure an impromptu invite.
“She once stopped my daughter and tapped my daughter on the shoulder when she was with a group of friends,” Richards explained.
“My daughter turned around,” she continued. “It was Rihanna and she said, ‘I just want you to know that I’m obsessed with you and your family, and I love you so much.’

“She was so sweet,” Richards said. ‘She gave me all kinds of great advice about my marriage, the women and how we handle things’
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added, “And my daughter started crying. So I’ve never forgotten how neat that was.’

Richards noted that she hasn’t told “anyone” the advice Rihanna gave her about people being curious about her marriage to Mauricio Umansky, which “was so amazing to me, I was like, ‘Oh my god.’
“She said, ‘The next time any of these women want to know all the details of the intimacies of your marriage, say to them, ‘Why do I have to give you the blueprint of my house when I’ve already been renovated?'” Richards.
“I thought, ‘This woman is so smart. She’s such a ladies’ woman,'” Richards enthused. “She was so incredibly supportive and sweet and just such a beautiful person, both inside and out.”
In her interview with Ripa, 53, Richards also called out her RHOBH co-stars about how they questioned her marriage to Umansky, 53.
“The way they came to me wasn’t from a loving place or a friend saying, ‘Do you need someone? Are you OK? Is everything alright?’ she explained.
“It was unbelievable – honestly it felt inhumane,” Richards added.
