Helldivers 2 adds Quasar Cannon and Heavy Machine Gun Stratagems that allow you to accidentally shoot your friends
Co-op shooter Hell divers 2 is back with yet another update, this time with two all-new Stratagems that appear to be specifically designed to help combat the brutal Automaton enemy type.
The official Hell divers 2 X / Twitter account confirmed these powerful weapons with a neat, history-appropriate image showing the LAS-99 Quasar cannon and MG-101 heavy machine gun. Both can be earned in-game and distributed to players on the battlefield by summoning them through their Stratagem gear.
The post states that these Stratagems are “now available for use against the Automaton horde,” implying that these powerful weapons are particularly effective against the deadly robot faction.

For those who don’t know, Stratagems are powerful items Hell divers 2 which can seriously turn the tide of battle if used properly. They can be in the form of huge cannons as seen above, air raids, deployable turrets or even something as simple as ammo replenishment. They require players to enter a code using the directional buttons, which adds a layer of intensity when the number of enemies becomes particularly frightening when playing on the higher difficulties.
It will be interesting to see that it exists Hell divers 2 players will get to work with these new weapons. The game features friendly fire which, as you might expect, often leads to players (accidentally or otherwise) killing members of their team. This will undoubtedly also be the case with these two powerful Stratagem weapons.
Only launched last month on PlayStation 5 and PC, Hell divers 2 has a long life ahead of it, if its immense popularity is to be believed.
