CPAC: Senator Jacinta Price says Penny Wong ‘bolted for the door’ after her maiden speech

Firebrand Senator Jacinta Price said her first parliamentary speech sent a “squirming” Penny Wong to the door instead of shaking her hand.
The Northern Territory native politician made the remarks during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Sydney on Saturday.
Her speech included an attack on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s pursuit of an indigenous voice in parliament and targeted transgender people and adults.
Firebrand Senator Jacinta Price said her first parliamentary speech sent a ‘snaking’ Penny Wong to the door instead of shaking her hand
“Nothing told me I had my message louder and clearer than seeing that I had managed to get right under Penny Wong’s skin,” Senator Price said.
Senator Price claimed her maiden speech, delivered on July 27, told the “awakened sycophantic slack Labor government” that “their statements were formed of fantasy and lies.”
“I loved every moment of bringing the cold hard truth and watching them squirm and grimace,” the CLP senator told the meeting.
“Nothing told me my message was louder and clearer than seeing that I had managed to get right under Penny Wong’s skin.”
Senator Price said an even clearer sign of Senator Wong’s displeasure was illustrated when she “shot out” parliament instead of “shaking First Nations hand and congratulating me on my first speech,” as is the custom.
That wasn’t the last awkward interaction between the two women, Senator Price said.
She mocked Senator Wong’s claim that she had been “triggered” by one nation leader Pauline Hanson that Greens senator Mehreen Faruqi would “go back to Pakistan”.
Senator Hanson had made the comment in a tweet before doubling down on her attack on Tuesday when she offered to take Senator Faruqi “to the airport.”
Senator Wong, born in Malaysia, condemned Senator Hanson’s comments “without reservation” in an emotionally charged speech.
She admitted she continues to be triggered by bigotry as she supported a parliamentary push to condemn Senator Hanson’s speech.

Senator Price said this racial sensibility came despite Senator Wong becoming ‘a ‘First Nation expert’
“I think they’re terrible, and they’re comments that have been made to me countless times since I arrived in this country, and I remember getting them in the schoolyard as a kid,” Senator Wong said.
Senator Price criticized her response before accusing the Secretary of State of being hypocritical and acting like “an expert on First Nation.”
“Despite lecturing on the floor of the Senate about what we Aborigines really mean, while simultaneously laughing at me and our good friend and fellow hypocrite, Senator Thorpe, for calling out Wong for trying to brush us both with the same brush.” paint because we are Aboriginals,’ she said.
She also objected to recent pressure from the federal government to introduce a vote in parliament and Senator Wong’s support for it.

“I presented it to Wong and I don’t think she liked it very much, but I did tell her that maybe we should design an Asian vote for parliament together,” Senator Price said.
“So those policies that affect Asian-Australians can be their responsibility and any time I need expert advice on how to better improve Wong’s life, I can just consult with the Asian Voice.”
Senator Price continued her vigorous campaign against the proposed Indigenous vote to parliament, which she labeled as “insane” and an effort to create “racial separatism and a permanent victim category for those whose skin has a “brown tint.”
“We can’t sit this out because we’re afraid of being vilified by swearing awake bullies,” Senator Price said.
“We can have no fear because fear creates an insidious vacuum for the insidious foes to occupy as they spread the divisive rhetoric and propaganda.
Together we can put this nation back on the path of sanity and sound thinking.

“Every voice is a voice.”
Senator Price went astray in her speech to criticize transgender activists and adults.
She proclaimed the left-wing ideology for promoting body positivity, while allowing trans activists to continue “playing God” and “surgically removing healthy body parts.”
