Ronda Rousey labels WWE an ‘absolute s*** show’ and vows to not return as she accuses the organisation of keeping their stars ‘captive’… after calling Vince McMahon an ‘evil, unethical slimeball’

- But Rousey says she can now speak freely because she has no plans to return
Ronda Rousey has criticized the WWE, claiming she has no plans to return to the promotion.
Rousey rose to fame after becoming the first UFC women’s bantamweight champion and the biggest female star in UFC history.
The 37-year-old then made the transition to wrestling in 2018, signing with WWE before making her debut at Wrestlemania 34.
She remained on the roster until last year. Ahead of the release of her autobiography “Our Fight,” Rousey vowed never to return to the network.
“(The book shows) how absolutely great a show it is on the WWE,” Rousey said.

‘Because they can’t hold a sword over my head and hold me hostage to my own career. I don’t need anything from them, and I don’t plan on going back, so I can basically say everything I think and feel, where everyone else who is still trapped by their organization cannot.
‘We were contractually bound to 90,000 words, and I was going to talk a lot more, especially about John Laurinaitis and Bruce Prichard.
“But our editor said we needed to streamline everything and not detour from the quest of ‘f*** these old bastards.’ There was a lot more to it, but I had to get into the meat and potatoes here.”
Rousey also took aim at Vince McMahon, who became the center of sex trafficking allegations early this year and resigned from TKO.
“It’s sometimes hard to know where the evil, unethical, slimy character of Vince McMahon, played out in front of the cameras, ends and the actual, questionably ethical, oft-sued and multiple times accused of sexual misconduct Vince McMahon begins…” said she.

While with WWE, Rousey competed in the first women’s match to headline WrestleMania, in a three-way match that also featured Charlotte Flair, daughter of legendary professional wrestler Ric Flair, and Becky Lynch.
Lynch won the triple threat match in one of Rousey’s only pinfall losses in her time with WWE.
Rousey’s last match with WWE took place last summer against former MMA competitor Shayna Baszler, who came out on top.
