Two UFOs were spotted hovering over an oil rig off the coast of Mexico, where locals believe there is a secret underwater base for aliens.

A crew member from the ship near Tampico took two photos: one shows a saucer-shaped craft with glowing lights circling the base and the other with a triangular design and three lights at the bottom.

The witness said the UAPs “hovered for ten minutes and then zoomed away in the blink of an eye,” a source told DailyMail.om.

Tampico locals believe the alien underwater base has been protecting them from hurricanes for more than 50 years.

The images were taken in October 2023, but have only now appeared online.

DailyMail.com spoke to oil rig operator ‘Pat’, who got the photos and information about the sighting from a colleague on another oil rig stationed in Tampico months before he arrived.

“My contact said the UAPs showed up when they put the rig legs on the seabed,” Pat said.

The rig, also called a ‘jack-up’, is a ship equipped with three long support legs that can be raised or lowered.

In one of the images, the saucer-shaped vessel hangs in the night sky, towering high above the oil rig.

If you look at the object up close, you’ll see that there are at least ten round lights circling the bottom – the only part that’s actually visible in the photo.

Although the rig said the other UFO was triangular, the only clue to its design is the way the three lights are positioned at its base.

No other parts of the craft are visible either.

An X user, cover told DailyMail.com that a member of the intelligence community told her that the triangular spacecraft was the ‘Aurora’ craft, said to have been developed by the US government in the mid-1980s.

The SR 91 Aurora, a top-secret aircraft in development since 1989, is said to be the successor to the Mach 3.35 Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird craft that was retired in 1998.

In comparison, extreme reports claim that Aurora could reach Mach 11.8.

However, there is no evidence that the military plane was ever built or flown, indicating that the image captured over the oil rig cannot be the top-secret fighter jet.

When Pat arrived in Tampico, he discovered the locals’ beliefs about an alien underwater base called Amupac, claiming that the aliens are their protectors.

“My equipment only got here recently,” he said. ‘It was only after I discovered that the local belief was so strong that aliens would protect them that I spoke to a man who works as a liaison between our two platforms.

‘Then he told me about the meetings. Then he sent me the images.’

The submerged base is believed to be a few kilometers from Miramar Beach and nearby communities believe their alien visitors have been beneath the surface, protecting them from natural disasters.

And during that time, no hurricane has hit the region.

The legend began in 1967 when local news channel El Sol de Tampico published a story with the headline Platillos Voladores Sobre Tampico, or “Flying Saucers Over Tampico.”

The article stated that “thousands of residents” saw objects in the sky, quoting the local airport control tower officer who reportedly counted “nine unidentified objects.”
